Mine had about 2 inches of snow on it yesterday, it's mostly melted off today though . Luckily we didn't get hit as hard as some of you guys did (yet). Knowing how the weather in MI is, it'll be 85º and sunny tomorrow, then we'll get 18" of snow the next day

I had more snow under my car than on top of it. Regardless, my car isn't going to turn over for a long long time. The battery is shot at this point. It's going to be a long winter...

Yeah it took me like 25 minutes to get my FC started a little while ago, on the battery charger and everything. It was a pain in the ***, good thing I basically refuse to drive it in the snow.
Pff, my 7 can sit for days in this cold weather and it will start as quick as you can snap your fingers. Got some leaky injectors or need a tune up?

Well, it probably would have taken just as long in warm weather
. It's actually an electrical problem. For some reason lately, the car will crank for a couple seconds, then the cranking will slow way down (too slow to start) then just go dead. It often can't start without the aid of a jump anymore. If it wasn't so goddamn cold, I'd go through the wiring and figure out what's up. Oh well, I don't plan on really driving it till spring anyway :effort:.

I hear ya, got some serious body work to take care of but can't handle doing the work in this cold. Been on the hunt for a POS fwd or 4wd daily beater just to carry me though the winter. I didnt even try to take the 7 out in this snow storm we got. Bald low profile rear tires aint getting me anywhere!

o yeah mines stuck under 22 inches, plus its got a dead battery, plus the roads are terrible, and i had enuf snow shoveling to get the dd out. so no 7 for me. ill try to get some pics tomorrow.
One of mine is blown up again and the other one is in the middle of a build so I guess I couldn't drive them anyway. If it wasn't crap outside I would definitely be working on them. I miss them so much. Hopefully I'll be moving to warmer climate for a job this summer, if not I'm building a garage!

.When this whole 'battery killing slow cranking' thing started, I suspected the alternator so I swapped out the alt from my other car. It seemed to still be doing it, BUT, I didn't really drive (or even run) the car that much since then, so maybe the alt just hasn't had time to do it's job. So today, I got a jump from a friend's car and just let the FC idle for a few minutes, then revved it to high RPMs several times to really spin that alternator. It seems to have done the trick
. I keep starting it randomly, and it's worked flawlessly 3 or 4 times in a row. YAY! Too bad to roads are all slush and ice
Ah well, just sitting there savoring the smell of the exhaust is good enough for now. Who needs brain cells anyway?
