Thought I'd share my 7 with yall

This is my 1989 mazda rx7 s5 gxl. I've been through hell with this car.
When I say I've went through alot with the car... I mean... I got the car with 120,000 miles. Did something out of pure ignorance and stupidity and had to get a new motor. The motor I got was bad (don't even ask... lol) so i had it rebuilt and streetported.
So as of right now it sits with around 500 miles on the rebuild... Rb headers straight piped to two magnaflow's (sounds great... ). 6 puck competition clutch. Pretty much new everything under the hood except for the power steering pump and pulleys. Lowered on Tein S-techs and tokico shocks and struts.
I love it. It's the cleanest 7 in my "part of town" lol. Well onto the pics.... hope yall enjoy.

With my stock wheels...

then I picked up some cheap motegi knockoff's....

Then some BBS meshies...

And finally my SSR GP-0's

that is a great color.

Reminds me of the one that was for sale about a year ago, total sleeper, and under the hood i think he had a 3 rotor or something in it.

Recently purchased s4. Body is solid. Previous owner definately bottomed out a lot (curb hop?). He sucks at wiring so I have a wiring mess. Turbo has shaft play. Clear coat peeled of the paint, and is peeling off the firewall. Front fenders rotted where it curls under the body. Alternator was bad too. Currently working on the big three v and it's going rough. But I have my dream car and that's all that matters.

Glad yours seems to be in such good shape finally! Ps I love the bbs rims. Looks nice, but doesnt say look at me!

How much did you purchase it for.. if you don't mind me asking?

Oh and what do you mean by finally? You've seen my threads crying out for help.. haven't you? lol

It actually still has the stutter. But I used fuel injector cleaner that helped out alot. I do plan on replacing them though when I have the money.

It runs now, doesn't it?

I paid $2000 for mine. It was hella hack so I talked him down a bit. I'm pretty sure it had a Honda civic intake attached to the turbo. Lol But it ran, kinda.

Yeah. It has a tiny bit of vertical play. It will get fixed. I want this car to be somewhat reliable so I can drive it in the summer. And nice enough where I don't do something dumb... But that only lasted 2 days after I completely revised my ninja last winter so idk. :/ lol

Yeah I know it's not a turbo

but if I do trade... I don't plan on keeping it for long.. I want something fast. And in ga... it's hard to find people that want to deal with rotaries. Don't get me wrong.. I have ton's of friends that love rotaries... but they already have 7's lol

I really want an an TII or an sti....

Well that's the thing... I have no spare cash. So I'm looking to do straight up trades. And work my way up... lol

It'll be way easier to find someone that wants that bmw then someone that wants my 7.

Turbo swap your car! Be way cheaper than buying a sti(I'd go with a evo instead...subaru engine isn't the strongest, plastic cam gears ftl, and handling is worse out of the box compared to the evo... Not saying the evo doesn't have its share of issues. Both cars kind of suck lol)

Yes sir. I hear ya... I've just always been a fan of the boxer motor. And the lines of the sti.... the 4g63 is a strong motor as well. I just prefer subie over mitsubishi...

mmmm.

Old coworker of mine bought a 2011 sti. Stock exhaust on cold idle was so deep and awesome sounding. Had more bass to it then some subs lol.

There's multiple vids on youtube with straight exhausts on them, they sound excellent.
