Thumbs up T2 Duo?!

My girlfriend wants a T2. She asked me to look at one for her today. It is the same exact car as mine! Red S4 T2!

It runs, but has 65psi all round. The girls grandfather rebuilt the engine once and it was rebuilt before they had it. It has 250,000 miles, but the exterior and interior is mint. You could eat off the engine, but it would obviously need a new one. He recommended that we get a jdm engine for cost purposes because the rotor housings are original and getting worn. Irons have been lapped. He said that the rotor housings should have been replaced last time, but his grand daughter was on a budget.

So my girl is probably going to scoop this up Monday and search for a used jdm s4 t2 engine to make this as good of a daily driver as a rotary can get. I'm so excited! I have the coolest girl ever. Lol

Now I need to start rebuilding my engine!

I'll post pictures of the twins if she ends up still getting it.

Bad idea man.

You'll never be able to get space away from this girl. It might end up being a huge headache. Good luck though!

I dunno. I personally favor a girl who likes the cars. but as Molotovman said. she may crowd your space a bit. if you want to turn wrenches on her car i say go for it. the cruises are always fun, or if you're the type challenge her to autocross. a little competition can be a good thing.
but if she's going to be in the garage with you all the time too. then you'll go mad very soon.

Hey now. Clearly you missed the "coolest girl ever" and "I'm so excited" parts of this post. I'm pretty sure neither of these things would have been said if there was any overbearing or suffocating behaviors. Personally, I think it's awesome 100% all the way around.

What are you gonna do when both your TII's break down at the same time? That would be funny.

NO girl wants to drive an Rx7...

Few questions:

1)- Have you slept with her yet?
2)- If yes to question 1 was it with the lights on?
3)- If No to question 2 did she make you hit it from the back?

Might be a dude.... Just saying. Be careful.

Real girls don't like smelling like half burnt fuel when they get out of thier car.... Real girls like thier cars stock and don't want to have to push the gas to clear out flooding if they turn thier car on and off while going from store to store....

A lot of times girls do things just to bond with you...trying to find common grounds.

Obviously he's been with her a while if he's willing to commit to finding a car just like his. You dont do that for a chick you're just banging...

My ex GF thought FC's were ok...I jumped on it and got her a vert...spent a few bucks getting it ready for her only to find out she "wouldn't own one tho..."

I sold it a week later.

You gotta be willing to spend time and money on HER car now...and when you get something done to yours, she'll want it too. Good luck!

Thank you! I've been searching for my own car for awhile, he got me into the roto's. Wanted a repu. Kinda fell in love with his car. Happened to find a really good deal on one exactly the same. Buying it and doing whatever needs to be done with it myself though. Not taking advantage. We're gonna have lots of fun.

Shes going to need to be prepared to work on that car a heck of a lot, as will you.

Good luck and post pics (of your cars).

Tuscanidream's gf is buying the car from me, a female. I got into cars from a young age, can work on an RX7, learned everything I know from my dad. I was present AND hands on with all the rebuilds in my dad's garage, AND I have the confidence to do it on my own now. I was never influenced by some dude that was just banging me, I bought the car when I was 18 and have had it for the past 9 years. Me and my car have seen it all from drag strips in Epping/Englishtown to the autocross tracks built by the people of FCSCC Autocross and Rally. The only reason why I'm selling it is because I'm moving across the country and cannot afford to ship it. I'll find another one out there. Maybe you guys should find REAL women with a ****** that they were born with who know a thing or two before you judge.

^ I hope that most people weren't referring to the rarer type of girls who are more into cars than us, but rather were entertaining the possibility (probability) that his girlfriend may be interested in RX-7s mostly due to him and in such case would not get into the hobby nearly as much as the he is.

Yes! Thank you! Someone who gets it. Your car will see plenty of love here in NE. Gotta send us photos of the one you buy in CT!

if chick started to like cars just cuz i was banging her, i would have to bang her one more time then dump her.

but in all seriousness, its great that your lady shares the same interests as you. you will have good times together scratching your heads about why it wont start.

Good luck.

I keep forgetting everyone on the internet is between the ages of 12-17.... Pretty good idea buying a project like that when she is 13 years old, that way when she is old enough to drive it might be running.
