stretched tires upfront only (pic request)

i'm riding on my stockers during winter, but summer is coming up and i want the nicer rims back on the car. my problem is the front tires rub on the springs and i was running spacers, but i want to clear the springs without spacers now. the rims are 16x7 with a 32 offset. my plan is to have 195/50/16 or 205/50/16 fronts and 225/50/16 rear.

anyone running a similar setup?

thats what i love about federals. 205's are like 215's lol. but the again you have a slightly lower profile than i do. 205/45 on the 17x9

yes, spacers or a 205 on the 16x7 fronts but either way the +32 offset ***** you up. 205 and go with a 5mm spacer. this should be more than enough to clear

i'm not going for a record breaking stretch i just need a little stretch to stop the rubbing. i have 8mm spacers and during hard corning it starts to rub again.

i think with a 195 or 205 should be enough to clear with out the use of spacers. and i had pep boy cheap spacers so if i still need spacers i'm going with something better.

oh and here is a picture on why i don't want spacers, tires stick out a little too much upfront.
no spacer

with 8mm spacer

Why do you want to stretch on stock? fc3 pro has a good line for wider rims and offsets that will clear everything.

The right width tire for performance on a 9" rim is a 255. The tire will sit flush with the rim. Anything less will begin stretching the sidewall. I like a little stretch look, but a 255 can fit with some camber and rolling the inner lip of the fender up front.

To Alex N/A:

Buy some coilovers or at least some 2.5" diameter springs if you have issues rubbing up front. The shape of the stock spring will cause you grief with changing wheels, tires, and ride height down the road.

damn thats awesome. it looks like a hulking beast with those size tires on. You can also get over size fenders to help with spacing. if your into that. Haha What size are the rears? They look like 18".

Are you saying your current winter tire/stock 16x7 +40 ET setup is rubbing now with the 8 mm spacers, or it only rubs if you take the spacers off? Do you currently have the stock 205/55-16 tires on these wheels? If you're just barely rubbing now and you switch to a 16x7 +32 offset wheel with the same size tires, that will put the sidewall in the same spot as your +40 wheels without the spacers.

sorry for the confusion, I have another set of rims(mustang) and that's the rims that need a stretched tire. Yeah offset sucks.

I'm going with Federals too, found a good set for 250$ shipped on directbuytire.com might get 195/45 since you have more stretch than 205/50 would give me.

to clear things up, i have stock coupe rims on 205/50/15 (they fit fine), but I have another set of rims that are 225/50/16 with 32et I just realized i put 16x7 but they are 16x8, and these are the ones i'm having fitment issue.

8mm spacers did solve the problem unless I corner pretty hard (then I get a little rubbing). I am going with a 195/45/16 (if that exist) up front if I still have fitment issues I will get smaller spacers 3mm or 5mm. and just to make the rear end look better I'll put 25mm on the rear

oh and i'll get an alignment, maybe that will help.
