Stock MOMO steering wheel?

Hey guys i was just looking over the specifications https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-specific-1986-1992-17/specifications-what-did-2nd-generation-rx-7-come-w-options-standard-features-642372/ just to see what came stock with my FC, and i saw that it said that stock S5 (89-92) Turbo II's came with MOMO leather wrapped steering wheels? From what I've personally seen all (88-92) steering wheels look the same. does anyone have any pictures of this said steering wheel? Thanks

it exists! my friend bought a new one back in the day ($1000). it ONLY came on the S5 turbo WITH LEATHER. the cloth cars just had the normal 3 spoke wheel.

the momo kind of looks like the 3 spoke wheel but the center is bigger, and the openings are more rounded

google was totally useless for pics, but if you imagine the 99+ FD wheel but flatter, you're in the ballpark

I have one in my 91 Turbo. I plan on doing a low of work to the car and the end of the month, so I'll try to snap a pic then.

From that angle it barely looks different from the regular 3-spoke. HUGE upgrade from the 2 spoke nastiness though either way.

I'd rather get my mits on a RE:A wheel though, but finding one is not easy... And frankly i'd rather not spend £100,000 on a steering wheel! Anyone got a stock momo going cheap

When you see the two side by side, you will see the difference. The center section is wider. All parts of the Momo wheel are leather wrapped versus the early wheel where the wheel may be wrapped, but the center section usually isn't.

There is a big difference in build quality too... The Momo is much better feeling and the center section fits together much better.

Exactly, it looks similar to the 10thAE wheel but I can tell that it is thicker and is made better.

Sadly this is the best picture I could find of my factory Momo wheel, had bought it from a forum member a while ago and installed it onto an 88 na, sold the car couple years back and now will be going on the hunt for another one for the new project.

I really did like this wheel over the original 3 spoke, leather was in good shape and it didnt 'twist' when gripping tightely like most of the 'rubbery' stock wheels will do after a couple decades of use.
