Someone is commiting sabotage on my car.

So, a week ago, I found a nail in my rear driver side tire. Took it out and plugged it. NEXT DAY another nail, same type, in the same tire. I plugged it.

This week, same ******* nail, same ******* tire. They have all been inserted into the outer lugs (lugs, as in tire part, not wheel part) of the tire, outer being the closest to you when you are facing the tire.

I think it is someone from work. I park in the same exact spot every day. It is unlikely to get nails, of the same type 3 times, into the lug portion of a tire....especially the same tire.

How the hell do you combat this? Maybe I am being paranoid, but the situation seems so...well... intentional.

buy a cheap video camera, put it out at night (with a charger) hidden in a bush somewhere. Have a very large memory card or have it wired to your pc.
Either that or wait in the car haha

This.

Once you identify the person, proceed to buy a gun.

I live in rich white man paradise. The country club of suburbs of Dallas. The cops won't do **** unfortunately.

I am an MECP installer, and have been doing it for a few years now. If I had the money to do so, I'd have an alarm and proximity sensor installed asap. Definately cheaper and more cheap than a camcorder and memory card, and it would already be installed.

when you find out who it is, return said nails by sticking them in their windshield wipers and make sure its raining the next day.

I had this same **** happen to me before (finally caught them in the middle of the act). I suggest a camera (camcorder) positioned to watch you car (borrow one, I am sure your friends have one) hooked up to your laptop which will record the streaming video from the camcorder. No need to buy anything besides the camcorder to pc cable.

I hope you catch the ******* honestly. Then use the good old justice system to shut their dumbasses up and have new tires paid for you. Expect no less. Video/photo evidence is KEY when you press charges.

A webcam streaming video to you is another idea. If you want to take matters in your own hands, I have thought this out too : )

1. Paintball gun, set a full max setting. Run out, shoot the ******* in the face and neck, then proceed to kick their ***. This beats having a gun since you will leave bruises on their bodies due to the paintballs instead of having to worry about killing their asses.

If a few weeks pass and nothing else. Laugh it off. I was in TX last year and picked up a lot of nails on the roads I was at, consecutively. Since I knew I didn't know anybody in the area, I figured it wasn't sabotage in that situation though. It seems the construction workers that build houses somehow end up leaving nails on the road for us. If you pass by any construction areas, I would say you may be picking it up from there.

I currently am staying in a small town till I finish college in december. I am very paranoid of driving my 7 around here and particular to where I park if I go somewhere after the incident I had. I don't even drive it if I don't have to, but am very happy taking it out of town. Good thing I will move on to better things in december....

You got to be joking.

As already said camera + paint ball gun(camera off for this part) + court system = entire win. Or camera + court.

No way in hell same 3 nails, same tire in such a short period of time is from bad luck. Someone is f-in with you. If all these were in the sidewall thats like the rarest thing ever from bad luck. Also i believe you arent suppose to plug sidewalls?

I hope for the best for you, ive read some crazy *** true stories on this forum and i would love for this to turn into another epic tale of justice

It isn't the sidewall, but lugs of the tire. I mean the road surface contact area, not the sipes which are the grooves in the tire. I do not drive through construction at all.

Nope don't date anyone from work, but there is this one guy who thinks I am sleeping around with his girl. May be the culprit, but I have no evidence. If I did, there would be a lawsuit and *** beating in progress.

I may have to look into it.

If you are, then you deserve it, and so does she. If not, then, like we said, video camera. Webcams are cheap

I'm all for sitting in the bushes with a paintball gun. Make sure you shoot him in the jimmy a few times. And don't stop shooting him until he's out of range. Then park your car somewhere else. Don't want him coming back with a tire iron.

The problem with resorting to violence is that you run the risk of them coming back and escalating it. This means you're either getting a gallon of paint thrown on your car after you beat him, or if worst came to worst and the guy is even more whacko then excepted, he'll kill you.

on the paintball gun note, make sure you freeze your ammo:P

but realistically, violence is only going to make the situation worse. Get the video camera set up, and maybe abandon your preferred spot.

or get flame throwers set up. someone gets too close....and bam...in the face!

They're probably setting them up, so when you back out, the nail punctures the tire. The guy is most likely NOT nailing them into your tire with a hammer.
Take a look at your wheels before you hop in and drive off.

this has been happening to me regularly since 2005. I made complaints about being harassed by a group of people in work. The people were protected and nothing was done about it. Following this my bicycle tyres were sabotaged with objects pushed into the tyre. The brakes were cut on my bicycle. And my car tyres were sabotaged. Always in a way that it would not be noticeable until I start riding the bike, or driving the car etc. Then the tyre deflates or the brakes stop working. I found out that the people in work who were harassing me are Freemasons. They got other Freemasons to do the same type of harassment to me. I have been subjected to this same type of harassment (and other types) on an ongoing basis for 20 years. It seems to be something similar to what is known as (Masonic) gang stalking. The latest sabotage to my car tyres was done only yesterday (2024). Photos attached. I have spoken to the police but they did nothing. It seems that this harassment will never stop. All because I complained about being harassed by a group of people in work (who I later found out were Freemasons). Whether this is how all Freemasons operate or just this particular group, I am not sure. But I have seen that similar harassment techniques are used by Scientologists and other “cults”.
