I hooked up the 2 MSD's 8509 as sugested by a haltech technitian and this writeup and that didnt work, so I proceeded to Install the 3 MSD 6AL's I had here since i was going to anyway. now all I need to know is if I need to change anything on my ECU settings before I try to start it and fry something. If you want I can PM you my number or PM me yours to see if you can help me with some guidance I think I have free long distance to canada so we should be good!!. thanks for stopping by!!

The thing is, the 6A's aren't going to change anything. They go between the ignitor and the coil (or should.....) so your ECU is still telling the stock ignitor to fire, then the 6A is dumping a higher voltage to the coil, and holding it (for 20 degree's rotation IIRC). Adding them in will not modify how your ECU is "talking" to your coils.

So to me, something else must be up. Is the ECU getting RPM readings?

Good looking engine bay you got. I'm in the process now of cleaning mine up and spicing it up with some aftermarket parts. How long did this take you to do? And estimate about how much you put into just the engine and ecu? I see some guys saying "I wish I had the money" so I thought I'd ask.

Ive been working on it for about 8 months. very long days!!! honestly I couldnt tell you exactly how much I have spent. I ve done all the work myself so that has saved me lots of money. I spent arround 2,000 bucks on parts Just to rebuild the engine. a local friend did the porting for me in exchange of me doing some electrical wiring on his car. the turbocharger I have will cost you 1,500 bucks alone and then you have to get all the other hardware that goes with it so that will take you to another 2500 to 3000 bucks (rounded) for the turbo and the accesories. then a boost controller I got mine for 150 bucks used from another member. about 400 bucks on injectors and grommets and crap. about 400 extra dollars on SS braided lines and fittings for the fuel setup. each fitting is about 25 bucks and 33 bucks for 6 feet of hose. 70 bucks on vaccum lines. Ill say about 400 bucks on other misc stuff thermostat, clamps, radiator caps, spark plug wires and spark plugs, ECT. 85 bucks for the sylicone radiator hoses. 125 bucks for the FPR. whatever you decide to spend on your FMIC, piping and blow off valve plus more fittings. then youre going to need a stand alone and the sensors to control everything so there go another 1300 to 1500 bucks I did keep some of the factory sensors, with that youre going to need plugs, new wiring, termials, solder. If youre going to be running all that stuff you are going to beef up your Ignition up so there go another 600 or more bucks, 290 bucks for the wideband 02 sensor kit. An aftermarket flywheel and clutch kit there go another 900 bucks, youre going to need gauges to monitor the engine and anyway i could be here just mentioning stuff and prices and will never finish!!! but I can tell you I have spent somewhere between 7,000 to 10,000 bucks and about 8 months of my life and Im still not done!!!

Hmm 180 sounds more like it as opposed to 400-1000

I wish I was more familiar with the discontinued E6S's, but to me it sounds like either an issue with the home and trigger wires being reversed, or perhaps no home signal being generated by the CAS.

Are the fuel injectors spraying? or no?

Here I was thinking "this thread went to 2 pages in a few hours??"

then I realized its from August, lol

if I had to critisize one thing it would be the decals on the radiator support cover, I think the car would look better with all that on there, and the battery in the engine bay.

other then that hows it running?

denver I pmed you. about the car it ran great. i used it for a couple of months then took the engine back appart to get some extra dowell pins on it but i got sent TDY from work until october so it might have to sit in my garage until then!!!! It will be back together whenever i get back home. All I can say is that I was very glad of the outcome of the engine I never got a real feel for it at the track as my slave cylinder broke the night i went to the track and couldnt shift but hopefuly i will try it again once i put everything back together. I have some footage of the car I will try to post it later on . Laterz

ok guys I got everything together again!!!!! Now it has bigger overlap's and exahust ports and it is also pinned. I also intalled a aeromotive A1000 external Fuel Pump. I still need to play with the ECU but for some strange reason I cant get online with it. anyway here is a new video of it. sorry for the low quality I recorded it withmy cell phone. Yuo can also see in the video that I got rid of the factory fan and got the dual electric fan setup.
