i say group buy and we just get what we need
but i'd pay 800-900$ at most only cause its a 10th anniversary chassis. it will need body work and i'm pretty sure the interior is worse then the outside. its not that bad but not 2000 worth..

Body looks straight but Milwaukee+ outside storage= rust. Outside storage under the trees also means the white paint might be actually stained, not just dirty. If its not rusty and its all there it might be worth 1K, because it will part for slightly better than that. If it wasnt a T2, it would be worth much less.
Guess the thing to say is go look at it, and decide if it can be saved. You never know, it might have just been parked there and just wouldnt restart. I bought a freshly painted, very nice GXL this way from a friend of mine. The car had a low milage motor swapped in, was repainted, then parked and sat for about a year, then wouldn't start. I bought it for 1K, put a fuel pump and charged the battery in it and drove it from Tennessee to Colorado that day. Oh and I washed it and put new wiper blades on, looked like a new car!

sitting that long means a few things. 1. anything rubber is dry rot. 2. the i nterior is fucked (mice have ruined it, youll never get the smell out). 3. rust from condensation between cold mornings

I picked up an 86 and 88 that have been sitting for 10+ years each. Aside for brittle plastics, the interior was fine.
My old 89 sat for 6 years and had mint interior aside for the driver seat.
But yes, the rubber, expect it to be ruined, or rough. And the rust, check the floorboards and usual area's.
10th AE parts bring a fortune if they are in good shape.

Even if it wasnt a 10AE (which it is) its a t2. If its complete, it will part decently. It honestly looks salvageable, although rust is the #1 thing to be concerned with here.
By wishy washy what do you mean? You low-balled him and he threw it back or he wouldnt even meet you to show you the car? Or did you reach an agreed on price then he backed out? Just curious because honestly, if I were selling it I would have at least washed it before taking the pics, shot a couple of the interior, and tried to be more specific about why it doesnt run, so I could get a better $$ out of it. The fact that he did not do any of those things tells me he wants it effin gone, or it has to go, and the first guy to walk up with a decent stack of cash and a trailer is going to take it.

this has been on craigslist for over a year, i called on this car when i was still looking for an rx. guy never even got back to me so i let it pass.
id say its worth maybe 400 bucks.
if you really want it maybe we can all call this guy and lowball the **** out of him so he changes his mind about the price.

i just dont understand why people ask for a crazy amount of money for something and dont even bother washing it or at least blow the leaves off of it, i always try to make the car look its best, especially if i am gonna sell it.
sometimes an hours worth of work is the difference between $400 and $1,000

Now it seems like a lot of people take an average car and price it at $2000 above high book value, trying to hit it big.
Like bone stock 93 Civics priced at $4000.
Guy local to me has an 87 GXL, ragged out, priced at $3200.

Lol that car looks horrible.. But you never know man. Go look at it in person and check everything out for your self. It could have such a minor problem that the retarded owner just left it and let it sit for ever and never got around to it. Who knows.. Could just be flooded :P LOL!

It's so true!! After a couple months the FC is now to $1500obo as the owner is running out of money.
