A sad day for FC owners....
Damn, the a pillars would have made my conversion complete. I'll find a headliner eventually. I hope your friend has a 10AE....and even then I'm pretty sure there are closer FC parts than Tallahassee lol. Yea, the S5 ran well, best n/a I've driven motor wise swat the S5 accessories and you're good to go. Im actually in Jacksonville, but I come back from time to time as I still have friends in town.
I needed em for mine since mine were broken lol. His is a AE car. the pass window was broken and he put a regular rx window in and wanted another AE one to match.. He said he has looked everywhere for the windows and stuff and didnt fine em. I might end up pulling it.. idk yet someone already grabbed the tranny though. my trans was rebuilt in 05..

The 10AE has blk S4 interior w/o the gay autobelts so that was also a plus. The emblems I wasn't too concerned about but the tinted glass is actually pretty nice, just dark enough to be effective, not dark enough to be obscuring (...or illegal)
Rx7's hold such high levels of respect for me because when i got into imports, they were like the ferrari of japan.
It sucks to see them rot, go to hell and fall victim of vandals.
I'm not gonna lie. I was pretty upset/sad when i had to crush my se shell because county ordinance states i couldn't have it half-stripped in MY driveway that I pay for in MY county i PAY TAXES to live in.
it's all fucked if you think about it. Life isn't fair.

It's not just that its an RX-7 or even a 10AE. ITs that its a PERFECTLY good car. No rust, full interior, straight body etc, in much better condition than many project cars that people on this forum actually pay for. But now it gets crushed because of some city fucktard and a lame *** ordinance. They could have just as easily sold it, or given it away, w/ no motor I'm sure the yard didn't give them squat for it.
The junkyard in Tally gave my buddy $110 for his running 96 Grand Am GT.. I like the tinted glass but i would rather have dark tint.. I was also going to grab that interior this weekend but you grabbed it.. I wanted the front bumper from the GTU though but its gonneee.
sorry to hear, these things make me sad. there was/is an 88 gxl with 40k miles and in extremely mint condition in my local yard..... cash for clunkers you guessed it
on a lighter note..... diff still there??

Rear Diff on the 7? Yeah both are I pulled the rear on the AE cause its a s4 like mine and I needed the Diff mount. But its already pulled if you want it just come pick it up lol
I didnt even think of this til just now, my old s4 I had sold ended up at the junkyard.. The guy bought it from me for 2k$ and put it back up forsale the next day for $3500. He dropped it a week later for $500 saying he blew the headgasket and it wouldnt run anymore..

Perfect blue interior.. Swapped from a 88 GXL, PO of the yellow one had stripped the int of everthing except the dash carpet up front and seats..

Then here is the two when I was doing the swap..

Damn! I remember that yellow car in the yard a few months back. The PO must have worked it over HARD, cuz it didn't look anything like that in the yard. Who's idea was it to install the "plywood sunroof" mod? LMAO

Look at the 240z crowd, those guys love to restore those, or at least sell them to someone who will. I love going to classiczcar and seeing restore threads. Maybe one day, people will value FCs, at least save them from being scrapped.
haha Yeah that was mine.. I did everything to that car that was done. except the plywood moonroof. I was driving down HWY98 and hit 145mph and whooooosh i look up n see stars. it flew off. lol and tried to swap the one from the parts car i had but it was no good so i left it out. are you sarcastic about the PO must have worked it over hard? lol cause the PO was drunk when i got it. But that was my first 7 and i loved it. i sold it to get a camaro and missed it and finally got me another 7 thankkkk the lord. I wasnt a fan of the paint on it though..
When they do get to the point of being "classics" and people actually spend the time to restore them, I wonder how easy it will be. There isn't much part support outside of Mazda, and that will eventually dry up once their part inventories dwindle. There's still a fair amount of vendors for the performance aspect of our cars, but where will we get the actual parts to restore the car such as body panels, interior trim, etc?
