S5 tails..if you're thinking about it

If you're considering modding your s5 tails.

It's very easyy

I was kinda sketched out to do them at first

as far as cooking them for 10 minutes at 200 degrees

but with patience and having to throw them back in a few times for about 2 or 3 minutes the lenses just pop off

SO
It's easy
even a 15 year old can do it

Be careful though, It's always a better idea to heat up the oven first, and turn it off before they go in.
But yeah, It's easy

ive done this as well. its pretty easy and looks really good in the end.

i tinted mine and added a think clear coat after that because my lenses are in kinda bad condition.

and cops arent too friendly around here.

i also took the time to repaint the black trim and get rid of the reflector

I disagree. He just said that he had to throw them back in again after having them in the oven for 10 mins at 200. I had to do the same and I did it at 250 WITH preheating for 10 minutes. Had to do the exact same thing with a second set of lights. I'd definitely leave the oven on while they are in. As long as the lights are on a pan and no plastic is touching any metal in the oven they will be fine.

Taking them apart is VERY easy. The only way you could break these is if you try to.

Yeahh
i waited for the oven to be completely at 200 degrees

put cookie sheets in to set them on

made sure the plastic wasnt touching anything

waited for 10 minutes

pulled them out

got a flat head screw driver/
scrapped off a lot of glue off where the lense meets with the bulb holder thing?

put them back in for 2 minutes

pulled the lense of SLOWLY

in order to take the orange lense off you have to take the red lense off

because they kinda interlock together

if that makes any sense at all

aha

then once you have all the lenses off the diffuser just pops off pretty much

then i actually put the tail light back in for another 2 minutes
then put the orange lense on
then the red one

by warming it up again the glue gets soft again and you can kinda mold the plastic over it again
