Once again, this is the one and only correct answer. They're pretty much 2 different cars as far as I'm concerned, and they're both awesome.

Both S4 & S5 models are FC3S which "pretty much" are the same as far as I'm concerned, and S5's are over rated.

"s4 has an oldschool look because of the 2-tone of it.." - what the heck are you talking about? Just because it has black trim doesn't make it more oldschool.

Actually, that's not totally crazy at all. It seemed like after the '79 Fox platform Mustang came out with the wide black bodyside moldings, soon everyone had them in the early 80s. They were on everything from Audi 5000s to T-Birds to the 280ZX and eventually just about everything else made in Japan. The fad was dying just about when the FC was introduced, so the S4 and S5 sort of straddled the line of when black moldings were "in" and "out."

My 88 panda vert feels old school to me. I see s5 verts and they seem to have a different look to them. I feel the s4 panda vert is more old school looking.

Compare a white s4 vert to a white s5 vert.

Then again, you don't see many white s4 verts, so that could be the reason too.

And like posted above, they're both FCs and FC3S>ALL.

S5's are gay for one reason and one reason only... because they are sexually attracted to the same sex car.

It's a series 4. Series 4 ran from 1986-1988, Series 5 from 1989-1991.

is there a difference between rear bumpers s4 & s5 besides the molding? I'm looking into purchasing rear bumper flares that are listed for s5.

Yes, the s5 bumper flares out more towards the bottom, looks sleeker. I actually have a side by side pic on my camera right now, I'll load it up for you.

They all mount the same and are interchangeable, if that's what you're asking.
