"rx7" or anything pertaining to rotaries....embroidery

Dont get me wrong, i dont work with needle and thread...but i wanted to see if rx7 owners, any generation really, would be interested in different words pertaining to the rx7 being permanently embroidered onto floor mats, carpet pieces, seat covers, etc. Maybe even headrests....and definitely the rear deck carpets.

If there is interest...i will have some made and post pics. The misses is good with embroidery

i think if she can do the puffed out extra thick style of embroidery, then a black fitted hat with a white rotor on it would be cool.

I think some floor mats with "RE" and a rotor embroidered on it would be cool.

i thought about comin up with a couple insignia designs for rx7's, gota couple sketches somewhere around here...but how many things can you do with two letters and a number...? i searched around a bit online to come up with other ideas, but i havent found much in the way of rx7 art that doesnt deal with decals or custom paint jobs...
id love to see some other peoples sketch ideas....
ill try to find some of the sketches i did and post'em....
i thought maybe something graffiti with 'p747' or somethin like that not too many ppl would understand...
can we see some of your ideas?

Not at all bro. I just havent been online in a while so i wasnt ignoring the thread...thus making you thini i was offended. I believe that if you can do it then go for it. The ideas i had pertained to seats, headrests, and obviously carpets. However, that stuff is very thick and it will be hard to work on it for most machines. Thoughts?

i think the carpets and mats would do fine with a thicker needle and if by machine, i think it have to be a pretty beefy machine. y'know, not like a small home machine, but maybe. the worst thing that can happen is it gets stuck and you got to cut the material to get it out, just try not to bend **** by forcing it through the machine...hand would be more precise but also more time, got to weigh the pro's and con's i guess.

as far as head rests go, i think its a great idea but i also think you'd pretty much have to re-apolster it after you do the embroider unless you did a patch type deal and then sew it or iron it onto the head rest...ironing would come off eventually though i think.

screen print is another option but it fades.
