Rough Idle after long trip
Rough Idle after long trip
well i went on a 8 hour drive and the car went from idling at a steady 800-850 to barely maintain 3-500 rpm..any thoughts or suggestions..its an 88 n/a gtu...made the trip well other than that issue
went out to the car earlier today, cranked it ran great through the whole warm-up period. after it ran for a while it got to where the idle would chill at 7-800 rpms or so and i was like hm..so i took it for a spin and low and behold a couple red lines later the rpms dropped to MAYBE 500 rpms it bounces back and forth between 300ish to 500 and then it'll kinda jump to 1000 and then back down... brat brat brat brat...saw the thread on rough idle in the archives and its not really what i was looking for checked all the vaccum lines, messed around with the screw on top of the TB a little didnt do a whole lot besides choke the car out if its tightend all the way..either way this problem needs to get fixed, even if it results in a ****** rig to get it idling right..i am a noobie to rotarys so any help would be amazing, please and thank you

ive driven mine from colorado springs to albuquerque nm which is about a 6 hour drive. got there with rough idle, wouldnt boost past 3-5 psi then wouldnt start the next morning. checked literally everything at the hotel parking lot. found out it was clogged cat. driving home with just a downpipe was awesome though.
Had that issue with an 323, if it stood around for some days i would have to try several times with the key before it cranked, with a fully charged battery there never was a issue, so i guess it was either "leaking" electrisity somwhere(don't know the english ekspression ) or it could be bad connection between battery and starter, or starter going bad.
