I spent many many nights stripping it out. removing all the sound deadening etc everything ready to paint it.
Picked up some cheap wheels...Autostrada modenas but they had seen better days. They had been Matte blacked after being attacked by a grinder for some un-godly reason

Picked up a full cut bridgeport rebuilt 13bt block and a holset turbo (hx40 or wh1e)

making use of my (destroyed by previous owner) finishline front bumper, I made a lower lip. It has since been sent to a bumper reco shop and is now one peice. Just need to finish a few bits then its done

A hell of alot of hard work has finally paid off. ( the only work that wasn't done by me was the spraying of the car and wheels.) I went for a subaru colour interior and engine bay and the exterior is factory satin gold metallic (1A)

i was wondering how you removed all the sound padding in the interior so well? im planning on repainting my interior soon also i just need to get it all looking nice first

Oh it was the biggest job of the whole car. Do NOT do it how i did it. Haha. I used a heat gun, scraper, solvent, scotch brites and one hell of a lot of elbow grease. Took several week ends. just tuned my hx52 car this weekend on a stock port 13bt with n/a housings with diffusers still in place and it pulled very well. the small bridge i had in before was awesome but loud as ****, instant boost though.

and thats on an hks cast manifold btw, your hx40 should be spooling at 2500 and see 15lbs by 3500 if not less.

Of course, once it's all removed, any issues fixed and then painted, you'll need to add sound deadening back. Assuming the car is actually going to be driven, and is not a dedicated track car.

it was before but with this new motor, stock turboII ports, and leaving the diffusers in the exhaust ports on the na housings, its a bit more tame and actually spools up, i will get some vid of a second third pull up on youtube in the next couple of days.

depends how tolerant of bumps, creaks, and all the road noise you are. but seeing as you are daily driving not having it as a weekend warrior or track car i would put it back in or just paint over it if its still all intact and uncracked.

cheers aparently they are not everyone's cup of tea. I was actually looking out for a set and they came up for 150 NZD for the whole set. 17x7.5 and 8.5 but in fairness they were in really, really bad shape when i got them

started removing wiring for stuff no longer in use. started with the easier loom for the rear section (tail lights, speakers, electric suspension etc) removed all speaker wiring and the auto adjusting suspension wiring, antenna and wiper. wasnt too hard but there are a few wires i believe may be for the american delivered 7 such as high stop and side lights. also is there pretensioned seatbelts as an option? it was worth the effort, removed about a third of the wiring from that loom. next is the front harness (headlights, indicators, emissions which are all deleted so will probably remove it.) ill be rewiring it to hide all the wiring. found this site which is quite helpful http://mazdarx7.iougs.com/training.shtml
