Before I bought my Atkins alternator relocation kit I tried finding info if it could be done with the taurus alt but I couldn't find any, so I decided to contribute to the threads in-case someone else was curious. The stock belt tensioner works better then the supplied atkins one.




Doesnt look like it but theres about an inch of clearance between the alt and frame.

 

Did you take any pics of just the bracket, perchance?

I had a low mount bracket (not sure who's) that broke at the pivot, I'd be interested to see how this design looks.
