The main cluster isn't too bad, probably ~500 dollars in gauges. Total gauges throughout the interior is ~1500-1600 dollars.

No gauges are required for the engine to run.

I too am interested in this. I feel it brings the interior into the future. Makes it seem a LOT more modern!

So Cyberstork made the cluster that has white backlighting but a black face as shown above? Definitely would love to get that...

seems like that link above you can get a clean set from them
http://www.blackcatcustom.com/mazda_rx_7.htm
black face with whatever lighting option would be cool, then remove the front illumination light and color the needles.

Just so u guys know a couple years ago now I got some of the white dials for my car. It is worth noting that although u can pull the needles off the speedo and tach without an issue, u can't for the other 4 gauges you will break them.

Also seduce you will break the clear case part if you try and remove it, its glued as well as clips In and doesn't like coming off. I ended up getting mine done by making up the peice of carbon off the replacement gauge cluster I brought after I broke the other one getting the needles off and managed to slide it up in the bottom, all I had to do was cut out some of the supporting bits in the plastic. Would make sense if you looked at it. This is all I'm going to do to mine unless I can find a knightsports speedo

i really like the white characters/black face, it looks even cleaner than stock. but here is my current cluster:

black characters/white face, but i did not use the backlighting, i took out the stock backlighting and only run the light on the bottom that shines from the front, and it looks really cool and old school. i will try to get some pics tonight

I didn't want gauges on the A-pillar attracting unwanted attention, I also didn't want them down where the radio is as that is no where near the line of sight (for someone looking at the road when they drive at lest...) Since there is only space for 3 gauges in the idiot light pod I was quickly running out of options...

No, it really doesn't.
I have two S5 clusters sitting before me and neither of them will "just unclip"...the clear plastic coverplate appears to be glued on.

Hmm, definitely did on my S4.

Just cut the glue? Not rocket surgery.

edit: Looked at an S5 I have, looks like it's plastic welded. Just cut it carefully with a fresh razor blade.
