Pilot bearing puller at Harbor Freight

Just an FYI for everyone. Harbor Freight has their pilot bearing puller on sale.

You have to grind the "feet" down a little to make them fit in to the pilot bearing, but once you do that it works great. I have used it multiple times, and it only takes a few seconds to pull the bearing.

The object is to remove it without hurting the e-shaft. And depending on your situation I guess, without hurting the bearing either.

i used this method when i did my clutch.. no disrespect but fill me in on how it would damage the e-shaft, maybe im missing something

used the method many times on piston engines only twice on rotarys and didnt affect it, that i know of.

Who cares about Hurting the Bearing?..it's being replaced Right?..The Hydraulic(yes,I can spell it!..lolz!) Method, will work,IF the Bearing isn't Snugger than a Bug in a Rug!..I tried it and NOPE!..I also tried the Rent-a-Tool Puller..it was FUDGED!..so I devised my Own method..with a Steady hand and a Dremel tool..It's not for the Hangover Crew that can make Milkshakes in the Morning out of Cereal(Mr Shakey Hands!),but I found it to work out Just Fine!..You get the Race out then Thin the wall of the Bearing and Take a Pair of Needlenose Pliers and bend it into itself..it becomes smaller, and you just Pull ..Done!..but the Puller on Sale?..Good to know. For sure!
