I got board of the old faded shine my rims had so last year i took about 12-15hrs and gave them a polished look. It is a hand polish jod with a combo of many diff grades of special wet sand paper, diff grades of steel wool, and mother polish. i don't have any pics with them on the car, but i just re-polished them last week so ill through some up.

Rob your car is simply amazing. I followed your build thread and it has turned out awesome. Someday my car will be black with that deep of a shine. Thats not factory paint is it?
Anyways here are some pics of mine.

im changing some things up in the engine bay as we speak, I have a original Racing Beat strut bar that also goes to the firewall that I refinished in the same anthrocite finish, and I am putting a FD AC compressor and tensioner in, so all my belts will be ribbed belts.
the paint is 10 years old or so custom black Imron that I sprayed one year during my christmas break from work.
thanks for the compliments, after the motor swap I fell in love with my car again- its getting close to the way I always wanted the car in the 15 years or so I have owned it.
siguy- I noticed more cooling when I cut that last strip off the bumper in front of the IC, I find it was blocking air from getting in.

right now thats a lip that was made by a old forum member, but its pretty much a demonspeed. I have a Odura to go on there along with all the S5 stuff and side skirts. That lip will go back on my coupe.
And yes, that strip along the bottom, I noticed a difference right away when I cut it because the air would hit the tank instead of passing right through the core and onto the rest of the cooling system, but I also still run AC which blocks alot.
My project was 3-4 years of gathering parts. I had also purchased my business where I had worked during that time so I put the car on the back burner, when I THOUGHT I had all the parts I needed we took apart the car and I kind of had this "whatever it takes im going to spend the money and make the car the way I want it", so the car was off the road for about 6 months and before that we were building the motor and collecting more parts for 2-3 months.
If your in a rush, DONT do the project, let it wait until you have the time and money.
