I was wanting to go out to Speedadventures and race but one of the requirements is a bar. Seemed nobody knew where to get one. Your post (showing the hoop) sure got a alot of response. Maybe we should start a thread.

Unfortunately I just saw mine roll away on my Dad's tow dolley (he has a lift at his place). Bad throw out bearing, I believe. The thing runs like a clock all winter - as soon as the weather allows me to drop the top, it poops the bed. Unfortunately it will be a couple of weeks until I can get the time to fix it.

20b covertable

Have had this early convertable for the last 5 years, done about 45,000 miles in her. Had a std 13b to start with, then a ported 13b, upgraded the turbo, that motor spat a apex seal at 155 mph, rebuilt again with bigger turbo, then sold.
Cosmo 13btt was the next motor, running Mircotech lt8, with a to4 turbo single, twin plate clutch, LSDiff was then fitted and another gearbox, did 4,000 mile on 13btt cosmo motor, then sold it. Found a "B" series 20b, which I'ave had in her for the last year, 6,500 mile latter, bar a bit of smoke form the turbos, I'm happy with a 20b, will not go back to a twin spiner (13b),the 20b makes the car nicer to drive. But the 3 rotors are a money pit, even if you do most of the work yourself. I think the series 4/5 Rx7 is one of the better convertables for car in this age group---'87-'91? |

in my opinion I would not own a second gen unless it was the convertible turbo. So I built one. The hardtops are no fun to drive. Plus the vert gets the chicks. Here are a couple of ruff pics of my pile. Once the t04 has all the bugs worked out I am going to redo the body and paint with a FC2000 front end I have.

fcdropinthetop what kind of wheels are those theyre sick as hell.
|
They are the Work Termist S1C wheels, 18x8+33 18x9+33. They are discontinued, but they look exactly like the newer Work Meister 3pc Wheels.

Unbelievable, these convertibles look fantastic. My father in law accuses me of thinking that cars are a form of art work. You guys have totally proved him wrong. The photos of these verts are a form of art. They are Beautiful. Thanks for posting them. They have given me inspiration for my own 91 vert.
