just did a little snooping around the engine bay on the new TII....swapped out the alt with an extra one, charged the battery and started the car. It's got a coolant seal leak.
I was hoping that the engine was ok and it was a minor problem but whatever....the gunmetal TII has a good engine with only 3k on it...

i'm gonna retract that. not 100% sure it's the coolant seal yet...The car has the old coolant system design with the bleed nipple on the T-Stat housing. That nipple is busted so it's possible that it's drawing air under load...which is the only time the car overheats. The temps stay solid at idle...
So...in that respect, we'll see.
