friend got one on his shell and i kind of told him how rare it is, dont think he will just give it to me now lmao

How involved is the removal of the sunroof? if i could talk him into allowing me to swap on the spot or something

If its pacific glass(bolts through glass) you pop of the plastic covers underneath and unscrew 4 screws. Would take like 2 minutes.

If it's OEM it's a little more involved. I'll snap a pic tomorrow or something.

OEM? Only one I have heard of is Pacific. Not that I profess to know all on the subject, just didn't know there was a OEM glass slider.

It wasn't "OEM." It was a dealer option supplied by Saratoga. Saratoga sunroofs didn't have the bolts poking out the top like the Pacific Glass sunroofs do.

why not just start your own thread?

if you are saying you are custom making a glass roof, not plexi, I have a feeling we will never hear about this again.

Got a pacific glass roof? Can you confirm the stock sunroof seal works with it because it seems that no one ever sells the roof with one and the ill fitting seal makes the roof look shitty

Sunroof Project

Have some faith bud...I'm determined to get this done.
The seal that you are talking about. I will work on it and try to find something that will work good and try to be as flush as possible to the roof.
Holler at me if you want on AIm...Once again feel free to contact me with questions in regard to the project. If all goes well who knows i might come up with another project to entice the masses.

..Ron...

Once again thank you for the interest!!

Totally understandable

that's because they under estimate the work involved

This is mine, it's acrylic or plexiglass. Got it at a steal of $50!

My S4 has the acrylic sunroof and my buddy's S5 has the Saratoga glass sunroof that we pulled out of a junkyard 10yrs ago. I never realized how rare they are until I saw this thread. I never bothered to take any pics of them.
