Picked up No. 9 FC in 1990?
HI all!!!
So I thought I was out of the 2nd gen game with the purchase of my Fd, but I came across what I believe is the No. 9 Rx7 for 1990.
Last 6 of the VIN: 800009

Kind of blurry, but yeah....800009
All VINs match up of course, but the VIN PLATE is MISSING
that hurt my day, but whatever.
What are your thoughts?

If the FAQs are to be believed, 800009 would be #9 off the line

It appears they DID do things differently back then, lol.
personally unless it was an SA22C with a low number you have nothing special. it's just an early production 1990 FC3S.
i don't even pay attention to production VINs on FCs because it adds nothing to value, maybe a few bucks to an '86 but nothing noteworthy. even then it would have to be unmolested, good condition and low mileage or fully restored to make a dent in the early production rarity value.
now if you had number 1-10 of the first year RX7s were ever produced... that might add some collector value.
