Here’s mine. I would have to agree with some that the GP Sport kit is WAY played out. I ordered mine WAY back when GP just pulled out of North America. It took me 4 ½ months to get my kit here from Japan and NOW everyone and their mother has the knockoff version. Personally I would like to get rid of my kit.

hows the gp kit played out when only like a small handful of people even kit thier rx7s? despite ive yet to run into another rx7 on the road thats even kitted lol'

trueimport you made sportmaxx look ok.. id say those are more played out then anything, you spent the cash on the real gp and then cheaped out on the rims.. ? but they actually look decent on your car cuz its slammed

Hypertek - I don’t know it just seems like EVERY FC I see that DOES have a kit on it has the GP Sport or the knockoff and I'm personally sick of seeing it. I mean don’t get me wrong, I'm sure that the reason most people get it is because its the cleanest one out there's just too many people (in my opinion) that have it. I bought the kit like 5 years ago when no one had it because it was too hard to obtain then the next thing I see its everywhere.

We all try to mod our cars to our own taste and to make them our own and now it seems like its part of the masses.

Thanks for the compliments on the wheels. The only reason I have the Sportmax to begin with is because my old rims were stolen and at the time I didn’t have the cash to get anything i wanted to I settled for these and I tell you what, I love them. Sure there heavy as **** but the quality of the rim itself isn’t bad. Plus the fact that i went with 19's and slapped some huge *** 285s in the rear i think it really set the car off nice. So again thanks.

I love the Blck FC's Kit. I found it on AIT Racing.com and am really thinking about getting the side skirts and the front bumber. I will do a little modification to the front bumber before install.

 

Agreed. I thought it was a high res old pic until I saw the aerocatch hood pins. I don't think those have been around for more than 5 years.

 

I can get a really great deal on AIT kits if anyone is interested. It's what I'm buying for my car.

 

I don't think the GP kit is played out, I don't even see Rx7's where I live, let alone ones with kits. I bought it because I liked the way it looked at the time but my tastes have changed a bit since then. I'm selling it though because I want the AIT kit now.

I also happen to have the sportmax 962's but i haven't seen them on many other fc's until this thread.

I think people tend to like what looks good and is in their price range, sometimes that means more than one person will have a particular kit or set of rims. Or it's a conspiracy to fit all 7's with GP knock offs and sportmax rims. shudder at the thought of that.

 

well BN isnt played out yet hahahah .and sportmax is getting more popular these days.

I somewhat agree that it's played out, most of the people that posted in this thread have the gp over any other kit. Honestly though, I haven't seen the gp sports kit in real life and I live near vancouver, so it isn't as common as you think. Nice car by the way.

s5 bumper, some s5 tII replica sideskirts, corksport mazdaspeed replica lip, corksport vented headlight cover( cant see in pic), but a work in progress. it's come a long way since i first got it a couple months ago.
