Shave the bumper around the exhaust so it's not going around it, paint the center panel in between the tails black, fix the holes or w/e in the fender, change the wing, dump the mesh, do something about the S4 trim around back, and that's a pretty nice 'vert

color mesh wing main things for me..maybe meater flush sitting wheels in the back mite help...your car though and your taste. . . no one will ever give you 20k for it though even if it was appraised for that.

I love the color and everyone’s computer monitor comes up different, the wing I just replaced and is by far the best looking wing for the verts IMO. Im thinking about the wheel offset, that’s a good piece of advice.

Yeah I know about the 20K appraisal, that’s just what it’s insured for, it actual stated value appraised for almost twice that. They gave me the option to insure for actual or appraised stated value. One is done by a person behind a desk with receipts that I provided them; the other is done by visually inspection by an independent appraisal company. I laughed when they came back with the second number and asked if they knew anyone looking to buy an RX-7.

Take it with a grain of salt, that comment came from a guy that once called a TV commercial “FAKE”. Plus you should see his hoopty. I don’t take offence to any negative opinions especially knowing that half the time, I could take just about any part off my car, hold it in my hand, knowing that it is of more value then their entire car, I can only take those opinions so seriously.

A guy in an old beat up Geo Metro can tell a Lamborghini owner that he does not like how his doors open, but you cant expect the Lamborghini owner to lose sleep over it.

You can also ask a group of people who are enthusiasts about a specific car, who know just about everything there is to know about the car, who have customized them, how you can improve your vehicle, think long and hard about their opinions execute a plan and go for it. Which is exactly what I did and here you see the finished product.

wow that cars pretty. I would never ever do it to mine unless i had like 400+ hp, but i think once you get over the initial shock it starts to look cool. The parts i dont like are the seats, shifter (its too tall, short shifters just "fit" the car better to me)and i would have put and s5 mazda emblem on the rear. The thing i like about is its re-amemiya style slickness(The color helps). Congrats on being finished it looks like a blast to drive. its seems like mine will never get done but until then ill keep heading towards the light.

Forget the naysayers! Slick job on the car! Crap, I don't like 'verts alltogether, but I'm not going to say I hate it because its a vert and screw all your work. That sounds dumb. Outright. Good job!
+100 for another super-restored, yet modded, RX-7!

I don't know why some of the others are being so harsh. I think on the whole it looks better than a stock, fadded paint N/A Vert. I just think it's not quite finished as, others have mentioned. I would really shave all the molding off as you've got three different sections making it inconsistent. The back has molding the doors have the molding indent and the front has none. You should pick one.

Also, if it were me, my head would hit the roll bar as I'm a taller guy, but if you're okay, then that's good.

Yeah, have to agree that the holes in the fender do look strange to me. But, I like the fc2000 front end, the rims and the color, I just think that it needs to be consistent and if it were me, and I did commit to the FC2000 look, I would follow through with the rest of the car. This is why I have the older version re-amemiya front end on mine as it's more of an enhancement, rather than taking the whole car in a newer more modern direction.

Still, credit for the hard work and uniqueness. But consider what some of the others have said though as I really think it would only get better!

i used to be head-over-heels for the FC2000, but it's starting to lose it's sparkle to me. For my own personal build, I am not really into show cars.

Having said that, I do appreciate what you've done with that car! It's definitly eye candy!!

It definitly looks like a show car. I think the next project on that car should be a custom interior.
