Guys are SUPER freaking nice and like to talk cars. They are rally guys and are pretty funny. Fast shipping and they really take their time boxing up their items. I HIGHLY recommend them. Oh and if you order them, once you pull them out of the box and inspect Hella quality. Bricks will be shat. Very worth the money.

Damn dood chill out I did read the thread and I know you guys "dog" them but I was under the assumption that there was diff kinds of h4 housings and since these have a projector thing I just thought they would "project" the light on the road no to other drivers...anyways maybe I will go with those autopals I'm on a budget so thanks to those who actually help and give useful information instead of putting people down to make themselves feel better

Anyone ever used hid in a raybrig housing? if so, was there much scatter? just trying to decide if i wanna stick with halogens or go to hid's as long is there isnt scatter or bad cutoff. dont wanna blind drivers
i had the raybrigs w/o hid in my old car. the best housings on the market if you can afford them. They are hard to find though. Only thing is they are designed for RHD, so that might be a problem for some people, but they had a better cut off than any other 200mm housing.

If an HID kit hits the reflector the same way, than they would be great, but it depends on what hid kit you put in it. Most of the kits come with shields now, figure you would just have to play with it to get it good.
But honestly they are too expensive if your gonna throw HID in them, at like $100 a lamp, might as well do the projector retrofit. I want to find a pair for my FC, but id stick with silverstar ultras for em, thats already a badass lighting combo.

oh yeah? whered you score em at? im tempted to pull the trigger on ebay lol
but i think im happy with what i got for now
but those raybrigs with silverstars where awesome, i cant imagine how they would be with the silverstar ultras
I found the original raybrig bulbs that i had from those, and threw them in my autopal housings and they are pretty nice.. This whole time i had the crappy autopal bulbs in there and those sucked, so i tended to dislike the housings, but get some better bulbs in them , and they are really good.
if i recall, one of the guys from chicago has the raybrigs and HID in them in a white fc
Autopal makes a diamond cut, i wonder how those compare to them.
That will have to be for a different thread tho since this one is about HID.

If you don't go HID with an aftermarket housing, what other options for bulbs can you put in them? I thought the Silverstar Sylvannias included the housings and were sealed.
Yeah the silverstars come in 6054 as well, which is a good upgrade over stock , ive had those too, but compared to a good h4 conversion housing w/silverstar 9003 bulb, they get blown away.
with the sealed beam units there wouldnt be as much effort put into making a good beam pattern etc as they are just meant to be thrown away when they burn out.
What is difference between the different Silverstar bulbs? The only thing I can tell from reading their product descriptions (http://www.sylvania.com/ConsumerProd...r/ProductLine/) is that the 9003's had hi and low beam, and were approximately 910 lumens on low beam.
I see these housings available from 2 sources, one from an ebay seller (new) for $120 shipped, the other for $180 + shipping.

$180+ shipping http://www.rhdjapan.com/raybrig-mult...-lamp-h4-15978
Also, the Silverstar lightbulbs are generic, and its the housings that are specific to a certain car, correct? So a set of Silverstar 9003 bulbs advertised for some Kia would plug straight into the FC specific Raybrig housings?
(This seems to be the cheapest dealer: http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0012ETJ1O/...SIN=B0012ETJ1O)
I've been doing a lot of research this evening and notice on Amazon that for the 9003, 9005, and 9006 Silverstar bulbs, the lifespan is everyone's big complaint. Is it true that these $35 bulbs will burn out anywhere from 6-18 months?
the raybrig housings fit any car that uses h6054, just like all the hella and cibie and autopal 200mm housings. So they are still adjustable by the stock screws.
Silverstars have more blue tint than the silverstar ultras.. thus the ultras dont have as much blue color, but are reported to provide more visible light because of that.
