NiS14's TII Conversion Project Build

I am starting this thread as a record of my build. The car was purchased from a young man who really didn't know what he was doing. He ended up stripping the interior leaving the the car a complete mess. The chassis didn't seem to have any rust so I bought it. The car has a lot of pieces missing but wanted to give it a shot. I will also be keeping a detailed financial breakout because I'm sure most guys are curious about what they need and how much it will cost.

Car: 1990 RX7 GLX
Task: Purpose Built - Weekend / Autocross Car
Location: NYC

Viper - These were bought from a forum member whose never used them on their car. He bought them from Japan2LA. Looking at the the historical posts here, it's seems like that is true. The items are low mileage JDM items, pieces. The JDM part doesn't do anything for me, it's the low mileage part that got me.

Price breakdown should scare the noobs out of turbo swapping lol.

Great project, what are all your plans to do to it exactly? Turbo upgrade?

Yeah, honestly I did not know it was gonna be this much money. Hopefully this will give people a better idea of the the resources needed for a project like this.

Plans for the car is to just get it up and running in a stock form and then upgrade from there. Nothing too blingy or anything like that. Just something that fun, safe, and inconspicuous.

Attached are pics with boxes that's been littering my office and apartment, behold parts in boxes for your viewing pleasure.

low mileage isnt too big of a deal on a rear diff.. as long as its been properly taken care of, your good to go.... i just see $500 and realize you could have the whole drivetrain for that! i dont like to see people getting ripped off on this forum! thats all... but as long as you are happy, that all that really matters!

NY Update: 3-10-2010

More parts arriving at the office...

Currently, looking for places that will rent out space to do my work. Yes, living in Queens NY sucks. I had a couple of guys with residential space PM me, but I'm waiting to hear back from a Long Island rotary shop to give me the go ahead, working on the rent figures right now. Hopefully this works out so I can start wrenching already.

Yes, this thread will be blog-ish I want to document EVERYTHING!

More pics of random parts lying around the office...

Update: 3-17-2010

Ebay Filter and Civic air ram, it should work as a decent TID. Black ES Hyper flex kit.

Holding pattern until a figure out a place to do the deed...
