OH Newbie Introduction

Hello,

I am new to this list and thought I would say hello...

I have had a few straight line monsters in my automotive curriculum, '96 LT1 Firebird Formula with nitrous and gears, '90 5.0 Coupe Mustang with supercharger, heads, cam, intake, and more- I am kind of bored with drag racing however and want to try out the world of turns.

I live in ohio and am looking for a car to start autocrossing with and maybe HPDE down the road.

From a lot of searching it appears I am looking for an 89-91 (S5) car with a backseat added and maybe LSD if I can't find a turboII or GTUs in good shape, I have a lot more reading to do but I will probably end up with an rx7 in the not too distant future.

I am assuming an E30 is a BMW of some sort?

I actually have a guy that has offered to trade + cash his 02 M3 for my Fox Mustang...

That sounds like a hell of a deal. Your mustang must have some work done to it

well good luck and welcome, I dont know why you want a back seat no one can sit back there its pointless. But you will find a TII you just have to wait.

Thanks all-

And yes my mustang is extensively modified but at the same time daily driveable.

Here is a link:
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2697057/

The car is in the May 2008 issue of 5.0 Mustang and Super Fords...

It is not an even trade and its not likely one I will take- If I get any car non-project car it will be the 02-04 c5 z06- which does not have a backseat- and if we have little ones anytime soon I do not want to have to ditch the car- i.e why I am here instead of corvetteforum right now

But thanks for the welcome!

From what I hear you can barely fit kids in the back seats anyway...

Thanks for the suggestion-

I wondered if the rx8 was a nice handling car- haven't heard much about it...

It definitely handles great, but like phoenix7 said... it lacks power. A turbo FC might suit you well and you can DEFINITELY find one on here (check the FS section vehicles). They are cheap and for a few pennies you can have yourself a nice suspension, and LSD, a quick spooling turbo, and a nice weight distribution.

The back two seats won't hold much in the FC and the 8's back seats really aren't very roomy either. I'm 6 foot and had very little wiggle room... but the suicide doors are kinda badass. Welcome to the rotary side of things!
