new turbo
so i just got my new turbo like a half hour ago. and im more pumped than ive ever been. i traded my 99 kx125 for a full garrett turbo kit with a built in blow off valve. it adds 80hp. its freshly rebuilt with 2 miles on it. i cant wait to put it on. but i gotta make a 3inch exhaust first and get a hose for the oil. i have no idea why i have to make the 3 inch exhaust tho. but im gonna. here are a couple pics. (sorry about the crappy cell phone quality)
but ive had my 7 for a month. i havent even drivin it yet because i still need to put the water pump in. and i already have a turbo. im seeing potential here.

well rested,buffet o food
Yeah. Assuming your kx125 was in decent condition, that is a 1,500 dollar bike.
More pics of kit please.
Are you "bolting" this on to a non turbo rx7, as per seller's shady advice?
Put water pump in immediately, and test compression..... engine might be junk to begin with, which would really get expensive fast, in addition to performing a 6 port turbo conversion with proper fuel tuning etc
But hopefully you just have a 115 psi compressioned turbo 2 with a bad waterpump.
I dont know about this turbo though, man. (like sen2two said...and whose wheels look good i might add)

dont forget, a kit is not just a turbo. a "turbo kit" consists of a turbo, turbo manifold, wastage, at minimum.
before you go any further with your build. do A LOT more reading on here about turbo and how the motor works. then do A LOT of google searching about how turbo systems work and general mechanics. i HATE when people get screwed. it really pisses me off...

im just gonna keep the turbo i guess tho. because my parents are divorcing. so i had to move. and i dont have the room or money for a dirt bike. so i dont even care now. but im really pissed off about the frozen water situation. i have to wait till next week for the water to thaw. and im crossing my fingers that it didnt make a crack. cuz i dont have the money for a new motor. even tho this isnt the right turbo... i could still make it fit right? cuz a small turbo is better than no turbo. ill keep you guys posted on the frozen water situation. i hope its not cracked... it has 80k miles. thats just a waste if it is.

the douche bag was also alot older than me. you'd think most people would be mature enough to not **** over a 17 year old. i hope he feels good. and i emailed him
and i was like... this is a ford turbo...
and he says... you wanted a turbo right?
what a ***

Not necessarily, with a hot side that small, it would choke off the motor at high RPMs, completely killing the high end power. And that compressor might not even flow enough for the engine, also killing power.
What I'd do with the turbo is find out it's specs and what kind of car it's off of, join a forum for said car, and sell it. Or throw it on Craigslist, someone will take it.
As for the frozen water situation, you'll probably have a blown out freeze plug. Kind of a pain in the ***, but should save your motor.

every where i look it says this turbo will pump out about 300hp in a rear wheel drive car. it is a garrett turbo but its off an 80s mustang or thunderbird.
