Hey Rob I wouldn't worry about the other components being starved of air. I just did a similar "custom" duct and my oil temps dropped 13* F and my water temps would reach 83*C before and after they never go above 80*C. This is all at speeds of 35-40 mph. When cruising at 55-70 mph my oil temps drop about 4* F more and my water temps actually get 78*C
