new plans for the panda 7....

so im sure a lot of you remember the panda 7 build i had. well was going to sell the car but i never got an offer then seemed worth the time and money i put into it...

so i have decided to keep it and continue to make it better.

i plan on a widebody this spring/summer

possibly a kit

and all new paint.

here are the wheels going on the car.

Wow, you've been working on that car for a while. I would never sell it after that much work unless someone wanted to make it worth your while. Those are nice rims. Can't wait to see them on the car.

thanks guys. im excited about the new wheels. just got back in from stripping and cleaning the interior for new carpet and such.

the old wheels are already gone

i believe a fellow fc owner on here has them though.

i had some questions for the know it alls... i was browsing through the widebody thread and was wondering what everyones input on which widebody would be best...

i was considering getting a knockoff of the tripoint widebody by raceonusa.
and make the car look somewhat like this rendition by you (WingsofWar)

just different front bumper and maybe a TII hood.

Holy deep dish! Those wheels are very nice. Yes, please post the specs on them! Are you painting them gold or keeping them white?

Love your car, btw. Great job.

if you go any more deep into modding it, what if you loose interest? you already got doubts to sellin it

Given the cost of these wheels and the fact that they are available in a few colors, gold being one I believe. He would have to be completely retarded to repaint them.

I definately look forward to this build. Agressive as **** with that offset. I was not aware that raceon bootlegged the kit with the door cap. In fact i am positive they are not. Going to their website right AFTER i post this.

i never really wanted to sell the car was just seeing if i could get a 240 instead. but after looking at the car every morning over winter i am still in love with the car. and am 100% on keeping it at this time.

and jucieh is right there is no way im going to paint them a different color. that would be retarded.

and yes they are probably worth a lot more then the car but at the price i got them its worth it to me.

and im not positive on the door cap part offered by raceonusa but ill have to check/shop around.

if anyone can find one like the red one let me know!!!

same here, i had my car listed for a while but never got any good offers, not worth letting it go for cheap.

Yeah, thats not remotely one of the kits raceon has. That is my favorite widebody kit.

Good luck with the build.

from a guy...

in wisconsin...

haha got a deal i couldnt pass up.

and hypertek yeah i saw your car up for sale for a while. if i had the money i would have picked it up. saw it on zilvia a bit.

i find more inspiration in the RX7 FC then i ever did in either of my s14 or s13 240's.... but i guess that comes from owning 240's from way before the drift craze took the world by storm... and now they are a dime a dozen. i love the FC its almost like a piece of automotive history. and even though the rotary motor is already giving me a headache im starting to enjoy it a bit if that makes any sense...

well enough with the nostalgic bable...

if anyone has any suggestions on the widebody to go with please let me know. also i guess from what i have heard so far is that raceon does not have the door cap portion/style widebody. so if anyone knows a knockoff or a good place to pick up the other one let me know.

RaceonUSA does make tripoint knockoffs. They call them "type-338". The red car does not use Tripoint fenders it is a custom job I think. Tripoint fenders would not require adding to the door, unless they added that much more.

Have you looked into RX-Heven's kit?

yeah i was looking at that one on raceon last night. its decent.

ill take a look at the rx-hevens kit.

and the front widefenders in a 45mm over are about 1,000$ USD which IMO is way too much for front fenders. this is going to be a track car and messing up one fender would ruin my day major. not drift but road course.
