New Guy
Hello everybody, my name is jimmy and i'm new to the forum. I live in japan, and may be purchasing a 89 FC3S, not sure what model exactly it is. i have test drove the care and it feels great, the car is stock. i have no knowledge of rx-7's and rotary engines. My past cars have been 1 skyline, 2 silvia's, 2 180sx's, and a 1JZed Mark2, so i know sr20's realy good but not too much about rotary's.
So i hope by coming here i am in the right hands for info on 7's, granted i do live in japan and the closest 7 tuner is only a half hour drive away, i would like to learn the US side of tuning 7's. Like porting and what kind of basic boost ups are involved with the 13B.
Well i guess i just wanted to mainly introduce myself and say hello
Not sure if i was suppose to do this but i thought it was the formal thing to do... i guess it comes from my japanese side
thanks
Jimmy

Welcome to the forum Jimmy. If you ever interested in sending some of those JDM parts to the states I'm sure there are some people on this forum that would take them off your hands.

Welcome to the forum! You can learn so much about anything by just reading the posts here. Also a couple good sites to get to know:
http://www.aaroncake.net/
http://www.cochran-racing.com/FSM/s4/index.html
Especially that second one, saved my neck more than a few times...

overall i just always want to know everything about what i am driven, i'm most of or all the people on the forum know where i am coming from.
About parts.... i really don't any problems helping people out trying to get parts from japan, at this time i will not have time cuz of a new job but in the future i'm sure i will have the time to find parts for people especially if i'm making a little money on the side.
I will post a thread once i'm able to start looking, i will probably have people just ask me to find something and what price range they are looking to get the part for
but from my recent auction and parts book browsing 7 parts are harder to find then silvia parts
But i'm glad everybody who has posted so far seems cool... I know sometimes on forums there are alot of ********, maybe thats just the honda forums, maybe lack of power makes them angry
nothing against honda's
i hope my long *** post made sense

front lips, reverse vented hoods, aero mirrors, infini parts, rear diffusers,
welcome aboard. you should post pics of your previous/current cars, and pics from local meets or junk yards. We like that stuff here.

Welcome to the club! Many of us in the states envy you for having the opportunity to drive most of the cars you have listed!
There is an incredible wealth of knowledge on this forum. Just make sure you search before posting questions or the "SEARCH!" ***** will attack you.
Some people on here are incredibly knowledgeable when it comes to the rotary engine. However, some people find some of these folks hard to deal with(REted) but they are only that way cause they have answered the same questions hundreds of times.
I'm gonna just go ahead and tell you now what I want if you do get around to getting JDM goodies:
RE-Amemiya steering wheel with the blue horn button. In the best condition possible.

Everyone already said it, but you are so lucky to be in Japan haha. Hopefully I'll have a chance to go there someday. Welcome to the forums! I also had a question, how hard is it to find some decent RE amemiya aero mirrors, the ones i see sell here stateside go for an outrageous price just for manual ones. Let us know if you pick up that 89 FC and take some pics of it too
