New Garage - FC Has New Home!!

Well I have been helping my dad and brothers build a new garage for a while now. We stared to build this thing in the summer and still have a couple pieces of siding to screw up, some trim and downspouts but it's 95% done. My tent garage that previously housed the 7 used to sag under the weight of the snow and ice. She'll be much safer in here.

Siiiick!!! Now all you need is a bench too hold parts/work on, and a hoist! I wish someday I can garage my 7 instead of using a car cover outside.

Thanks guys, it's been bolt by bolt so far but it beats keeping the 7 in the mud driveway.

We got a hell of a deal on the steel frame and siding, not going to mention numbers but it was ridiculously cheap. All in all we built it for 1/10th of what it is worth. It's a 30 x 50 ft building that will have electrical, plumbing and sewer. We're going to build an office in side and heat with a forced air wood stove.

I want to put an paint booth in the corner too, and a twin post lift. please PM with offers on lifts, only if local.

Veerrry nice. Pretty much the exact vision I have for my future home garage. About how many FC's do you think you could fit in it? What kind of ventilation are you going to be using?

Who cares? I bet half the people here wouldn't mind it being their daddy's garage if it meant they could work in it.

Yeah actually my father is the one who found the building, one of his workmates had it laying around for a few years and wasn't even going to put it up so Dad scored the whole thing for a few grand. Its an American Steel Building, look here for more info: American Steel Building

The last panels, fascia and downspouts are being put up today before the snow storm. Then we have to run the power, water and sewer lines through the stub ups, get some lighting and a big vent with a fan. We haven't ever had a garage so this is awesome as far as I am concerned. We will finally be able to work on our Mercedes kit car that has been sitting in a shed for 10 yrs.

And since I helped build it I get to keep the 7 in there.

Here are few shots of it going up:
