Just got off the phone w/ Shine Auto Project and they said if there is enough people (at least 15) committed then we could take steps to make a mold of my lip and hopefully get a lip out there for S4 guys. I'm going to post a thread in Shine's Vendor section. So yeah... S4 guys if you like the lip, Go sign up!

So not to boast BUT was I the son-of-a-bitch who started this 626 lip trend?? I found mine back in Feb of 2007. I posted a thread on it back then BUT the forum doesn't archive that far back. I never had seen anyone mount one before and I just was walking through pick-a-part in California and said, "**** it, that might fit."

I am just curious if they were on anyone elses radar before then......

BTW I am on the list Allen. Good stuff!

Argh, I love the idea, but I can't comfortably sign up due to my cash flow being so inconsistent . I'd hate to be one of 'those guys' who gets all excited about a GB then disappears when the time comes.

Are you a member of the "S4 PRIDE" group? If you post a link up there, I'm sure you could get a few bites.

I had like 22 people who said they would buy a lip if I made it, I think about 4 might have ended up buying them. shipping kills the deal but still anything in the $200-$225 range is a good price for a lip with shipping. The V8 guys bought more lips then the rotary guys- go figure?

I made this one: https://www.rx7club.com/2nd-generation-non-technical-pictures-198/my-front-lip-project-848177/

I did not care about recouping the cost of the mold, I just wanted to do it and be able to make my own lips whenever I might need one, and be able to make them the way I wanted to, meaning thicker, lighter, CF, whatever.

I paid $60 to get a lip shipped from another vendor, no fault of their own what shipping and box costs are, but shipping can be a real deal breaker for some

I am ALL for the Shine Project BUT the price better be less then that of the Odula replica or any other extreme angled lip. This lip is way more subtle and I would have a very hard tme paying 200 just for the lip. I could make it with just what Allen's buddy did for way less.
