I am about to buy a 50,000 original miles s4 1988 GTU.. its almost mint other then minimal rust spots on fenders and easy fixable areas
the car is equipped with a sun/moon roof

this will be my first rx7 so im not 100% about the differnt models

i would like to know if the model year 1988 GTU came with the LSD

i would also like to know what the difference is between GTU and GXL

and also what exact parts would i need to do a hand crank window to a powered window swap, i know i will need the door panel, window motors but im not sure if i need a new harness, just need some help ive been searching but i cant find direct answers everyones got differnt opinions on what the differnt models come with!!

You're like my twin. I have an 88 GTU as well with close to 50000 miles too!

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I'm like 90% the GTU came with an LSD. I'm not sure what the difference is between the GXL and the GTU, but I think they're equal performance wise. As the for the windows, I had a place do it for me

if you had four lug wheels then there's no LSD, the 88 GTU & GXL both had the NA clutch type LSD.
