CA Need Advice on Exhaust System Set Up

This is what I have to work with..

The original Rev Exhaust System ( wish I had a turbo II so since I don't, I cant bolt this on to my N/A)

+ my brother in law knows how to weld pretty well

My question is.. what would be the best set up that would produce the most hp?

What other parts do I need (I think I would need a N/a Rb downpipe)

Here is the problem though..I can't use any components from my stock exhaust system because I want to bolt it back on for smog.. so all the options that you guys come up with have to include the REV system and parts that I need to buy.

Much appreciated

If you can have the car down for a while you'd probably want to get a RB collected header and then measure the space between the end of the header and the start of the catback. [On car] I don't think that the REV TII Presilencer will fit, so you'll just have the measurement for what you can fit in there [after market presilencer or straight pipe - make sure to tell your brother in law that you want it to have flanges!]

As a side note, do you know if your downpipe and presilencer are the same as the later REV TII ones? I'm actually looking for those ATM...

REV and REV II components are functionally identical including all parts interchangable.

And you don't want to try and fab in a REV/REV II exhaust into an NA for several reasons. Among others, lost performance (not enough needed back pressure for an NA) and noise level. Many before you have tried and learned the hard way.

Check out the NA performance sub forum. They have some awesome articles in there regarding exhausts. Basically it all stems down to what exact engine setup you're running.

lol I remember having this conversation with you before but I can sell the system so I am trying to think of other options. But, I think I am going to take TheAbsence advice and check out the NA performance forum to see what other options I can get. I know you mentioned the downpipe and the presilencer so that is one option.
