I like the lambo blue, badass, but orange is cool too! Spicy Orange is my fav, off my old 03 Mazdaspeed Protege.

Havnt done anything to my car this weekend either but i have filled the rx7-barn with ALOT of parts!
The car is finally in the garage so tomorrow im gonna start building the vmount.

What kind of IC`s have you guys with vmount used on your setup?
I dont know if im gonna buy a new one or re weld the in/out on my old FMIC..

Yea! Spending money and racing the rx7 is really adicting. Its like cocain!
Dont know how many times ive blown the budget ... now i dont have budgets anymore haha. I wish i was living in the states, though.. Would have saved alot of money on parts!
What is the CYM color again? The reason im going orange AGAIN is because we got this silly "team" color theme stuff.. 4 drift/track cars in the same color Thats pretty unusal over here!

I went out to take some pictures but i guess all of you have seen a raceonusa gpsport kit before!

arhh im trying to upload some pictures but that wasnt going to be easy!!!

Anyway.. I tried to figure out where to have the rad and IC, and i got some questions.
Is the Koyo radiator good enaugh?
With my FMIC setup i had problems with the engine getting pretty hot.
I got the dual flex-a-lite puller fan..
What kind of angle do you have on the radiator? And do you shop all the mounting brackets etc in front to get a better flow?

Yea feels good to be back in the garage! I really hope i dont have the heat problems after all the work with the vmount
Im gonna use stock hoods with rhdjapan reversed glassfiber scoop. Since i sometimes bump into things and wreck hoods and bumpers im making molds of everything!

Dude! Nice looking, long time no talk, we have to catch up on all the things you are doing. I might be intrested in the koyo if you want to sell it cheap to me I'm also considering v-mount but I want to drive my car next summer so I will probably just build a front mount to save fabrication time.

And no, I didn't drive the car at all this year

Thanks Exlex! Much has happend since last time we meet! I expect to see you`re car ready next year !! If i buy a new radiator you can have it cheap! but the filler tube is chopped of so you have to re-weld it :P
FMIC is soo much more easy than vmount but im tired of wrecking IC`s and i hope i get better cooling with vmount too!

You should come to norway next year when the tracks are open again! Much actioN
Fc shells arent so expensive but i still payed 4000usd for a crappy roller with a rollcage.. It is norwegian so thats why it was expensive. I have another shell for 400usd

BTW Exlex, i got two spare coilovers kit! One Tein RA and one Tein HA.. Do you need one?

Depends on price, I just completeted my Yellow koni with Groundcontrol coiloverkit and adjustable topmount. Thinking back on it I should just have bought the coilvers I wanted since the price is not that far away

I loved to drive the car when it was blue.. Looked good and it was still okey for the street Now its a pain to drive on the street!
I think the license day is in the end of march! I hope to be almost done at the end of january so i can get my fathers rx7 rolling to!
This is what im gonna do:

Exterior:
-Make/Buy and mount a wing
-Make hood scoop
-Make a pickup hatch
-Fit gpsport kit and make molds for copying (for own use..)
-Repaint the car in orange
-Shine my rims
-Make some decals (not for hp gain)

Interior:
-Mount bucket seats and six point seat belts
-Re position the battery
-Get the Carputer up and running (logging etc)
-Paint the inside black (rollcage orange)

Suspension:
-Fab the strut towers so the mazdatrix camber plate fits
-Mount racingbeat anti-sway bar
-Four wheel alignment

Engine:
-Mount dual oil cooler system
-Fab the vmount
-Fab a box for the air filter
-MSD Ctrl and new coils?
-Overhaul?
-Bigger intake ports?
-Aquamist?

I dont know if im gonna do the stuff in blue but i feel i should overhaul the engine just in case so i dont loose many weeks in the middle of the season!
I always forget some things so more thinks will be added to the list.

when you say make a "pick-up hatch" are you saying you want to make it like the Nissan silvia truck?

Part of the rigidity that makes the FC handle well comes for the hatch (the first in Japan like this). It might weigh a lot but removing it entirely might not be the best thing to do. Have you looked into alternatives?

The only reason for making the mr2/silvia/pickup rear end is to make it different. It might turn out ugly. If so ill just trash it because its not going to be permanent.
I didnt think of the aerodynamics! I will loose downforce on the rear end in higher speeds without the hatch? Or did you mean the stiffness in the hatch? Its more like a mr2 style so i think it will become stiff enaugh. Maybe i misunderstand..
One other ide that has crossed my mind is to change the glass with +-5mm Lexan. Thats probably a good solution!

VMount mounts are done.. Gonna start with the ducting tonight then im will put it on-hold for a while since i cant weld aluminum myself. Next step will be to remove everything out of the car (seats, wire harness ++) and prepp it for paint. Hopefully ill have time to make a mold of the front bumper this weekend too! If i just stay away from the alcohol

Wohhshaa!!
Time to begin building for real. 3months until first trackday!
Ive had a loong vecation this xmas. Was a trip to caribbean and usa then xmas holiday up in the mountains. Now im back, ready to build!

One cool thing i ended up with this weekend is a new daily driver 1987 turbo2 with 13bREW engine! I also hope to have this on the road befor may!

This week im gonna have my bodykit ready for copying.
Here are some pictures befor and after filler primer. Hell`a job to get those parts smooth and i hate sanding

I hope i got a new pair of skirts and bumper next week so i can paint the hole car the first week in Feb. In the meantime i have to wire MS1 ecu to the rew driven FC.
