My poor car :-(
So this is what happens when your boss is not that good of a driver and is backing up a trailer and your nice 88 rx is not even close to where he is backing up. But yet he still manages to find your nice rx and smash your taillight and cause $2000 worth of damage. He is paying for it but god damn was my heart in my throat when I heard the crunching sound of him hitting my car. And again when I saw the damage.
Ohh and I apologize for the run on sentence in the beginning of this post.
Let me know what you guys think, I've spent the past 2 years making sure this car didn't receive any damage and what happens? My boss runs into MY parked car.

He is giving you 2000 dollars to fix that?
Get your body work skills up with 300 dollars in materials +(junkyard taillight)....put the rest towards a t2 swap.
Where in NY?

Unfortunately he's not just handing me 2k cash its going through his insurance. I'm actually looking for info as to whether or not I can get a replacement body panel for that area, I know the car is unibody as I am sure many people will tell me but I have seen people cut out and replace entire pieces of unibody cars before. And seeing as to how that crease will never fully come out I want to see if I can't have the whole piece replaced.
Ohh and 500 of the 2500 goes into buying a new s4 taillight which I am going to not do quite obviously. I'm gonna put that 500 towards a nice used set of s5 taillights to keep the look of the car the way it was.
And john I'm in ulster/dutchess county area.

Good luck with insurance, if its N/A, the bluebook might only be around $1200. So they might total it out and only give you that much. Got my fingers crossed for ya

well from what I have come to understand, if the insurance company wants to total out the car they can't do it if I decide to get it fixed because it's his insurance and he's at fault. They have to pay for it no matter what. And dkwasher with as bad of a crease as the hit left I don't presume its even going to be easy for the body shop to get it straight. Aside from the easily visual damage it has also smushed the gap between the hatch lid and tail end. And there are also several small creases from the hit in the drainage channel for the hatch lid.

Maybe its different in CO. But in my case, this super hot blonde in a mini-skirt (my kryptonite) came flying across four lanes illegally right into the side of my car. I have a custom pearl paint. She wrecked a fender, and a wheel. Nothin too bad. But ended up totalling the cost of $2500 including the paint to completely fix it. Well BB was $1300, minus $500 deductable, giving me $800 to fix my car. Shitty system if you ask me, considering her low IQ *** crashed into my baby, and I had to fork over my own cash. Still couldn't redo the whole paint, so I tried to match, but doesn't look perfect, and I still have a fucked up wheel! So I'm just saying, don't be too shocked if you get dicked over...
