Most of those "bad" problems are common so dont feel too bad. Both of my RX7s were missing a butt load of interior parts like the vents etc. The alarm worked, but the horns didn't. the clock flicked on and off and lost memory. Id suggest you swap in the better motor/transmission and buy some coilovers. The body looks good from the pictures.

Yeah, body is great, and we're making a junkyard run in the morning to see what we can find to fix some of the common problems. I'm expecting $60 to fix all the interior (aside from the seats), and another $10 for a new IACV. Either way, after teh drive I just took her on, I am not at all disappointed in my purchase, whoever said rotaries are lacking just didn't know how to drive them! I <3 this FC!!!

The guy was the second owner, bought the car in 93, and by the end of the year the paint was shredding off the car, so the dealer repainted it in early 94 for free. He's taken really good care of it, and for a TII with a body that clean, I had no problem w/ paying $2200 for it. She has a vacuum/boost leak, but we just found out where it is, so I'm going to replace that hose after the motor cools off. I think that the turbo's seals are blown as opposed to a coolant seal on the motor, because she doesn't smoke out the tailpipe at all, but she does form the turbo. I'm pretty sure when the motor was rebuilt the turbo wasn't, so 230k miles and it will still boost is pretty darn good.

Either way, I'm picking up a jdm S5 motorset this week from JHot, (about 3 miles away from my house) and dropping it in, and I'll send the original turbo off to BNR for a stage2 or 3 build, then send the ecu off for the old RTek treatment. So now I need to start hunting for a set of 4 720 injectors. Later today I'm heading over to a friends house to pull the tranny from his FD, so that should be fun.
