stock clutch fan would be better for a fmic application..

i had a flexalite in my s13 during my KA days.. then went to a SR with FMIC, and the flexalite, would overheat in the summer traffic.. had to switch to a clutch fan.. eventually i went ford tuarus fan and no more problems

Battle Cat 10-08-08 01:21 AM

i haz ford tarus E-fan!! FTW

alrite..Since im picking up rotors this saturday, my engine build should be done by sunday. So for now im prepping the engine bay... I started unpluging all the shitz and removing the headers[the exhaust piping is stripped stuck on the header] so i have to remove the manifolds as well to get to it... yeah pulling the NA tmrw...
gota clan my garage for more space first.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/P1020231.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/P1020236.jpg

say bye bye to NA... guna start hacking away holes for the IC piping tmrw.. and relocate the battery..

dkwasherexd 10-15-08 10:40 PM

anybody know if the Kragen MIG welders are any good?? They sell for like $150..iono myfriends say they might be crap.. anyone tried them before? would it be good enough to weld the IC piping?

Oh yeah thats my 3 sectional staff from back when I was into martial arts lol.. Now its a hood stand !!!! yeeee gangsta

Elite_Insane 10-15-08 11:35 PM

Just take it somewhere and have it welded. If its small enough some places wont even charge you. Unless you want to get good at welding to make more stuff, a welder really isnt worth buying.

Those welders are most certainly not good enough for IC piping.

finishline 10-16-08 02:00 AM

dkwasherexd 10-16-08 05:35 PM

dkwasherexd 10-16-08 05:58 PM

how much do one of those things run? lol damn maybe ican find someone to borrow one..

Hypertek 10-16-08 06:01 PM

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=91223

and get a metal cut off wheel for it.. they come in handy when you need to cut metal too
Easy to cut straight lines... If your wanting to cut circles.. then i dont know what to use.. Just cut squares

Alex Rodriguez 10-16-08 07:27 PM

go to home depot and look in the door section , look for circular door knob bits

they are made for wood but will last you long enough to do both sides

Battle Cat 10-16-08 09:23 PM

Hey El nene, does this tip go with a regular powerdrill? Im guna try to look for this..Il work on the FMIC tmrw.. see what ican do to mount it and cut the holes for the IC piping

Alex Rodriguez 10-17-08 10:07 AM

yeah it will work with a regular drill, aas far as piping go how big are you running for the fronts because it pretty hard to find 3" circular cutters i think the ones they sell at home depot are between 1"-2.5"

either way just cut them out and then it will be easier for you to make the holes bigger with a file or a dremel

goodluck

also for your piping call pm teddyrx2 at 1231 motorsports they do sick ass welding and fabrication

dkwasherexd 10-17-08 11:32 PM

cool got it cutout today.. I just found out the couplings I have are too small for the Intercooler2.25", but the right size for the piping 2" its hard to stretch the coupling to fit, but ill find some conversion coupling from samco...

87 t-66 10-18-08 02:03 PM

2 inch intercooler piping? i would at least go 2.5
