Hypertek 10-06-08 04:47 AM

what the hell man!! i was jus talkin to u.. how many engines did you kill in the last year? lol

dkwasherexd 10-06-08 11:36 AM

2 man..... one turbo engine and a na motor.. damn .....ihave horrible luck... drifting kills ur engine.

Hypertek 10-06-08 04:34 PM

bring me ur throttle body ill shave/port it for you =)

87 t-66 10-06-08 04:57 PM

the bucket method...nice! we don't need no stinkin' engine stands.

dkwasherexd 10-06-08 10:12 PM

thats right son. Its amazing how strong a plastic bucket is , it holds the whole motor, i wonder if it can hold a three rotor?

omg its guna be siickk....the front rotor, me and gf spent a whole day cleaning it, its shinnier than new, and smooth. All the grooves were cleaned out.. The seals and springs were cleaned everything is working smoothand fits real nice....omg..just need another t2 rotor..the engine is covered with a trash bag now, to keep the dust out....I found arotor for $100 , guna try to pick it up tmrw... yaya!

dkwasherexd 10-06-08 10:14 PM

anyone have a extra needle bearing or know where to buy em? I crushed one taking apart the motor..:( can i build the engine with only one needle bearing? its the needle bearing inside teh front cover next to the counterweight...

dkwasherexd 10-06-08 10:19 PM

i forgot to mention, I did the street port myself...oo geez....i hope its guna be okay...il take pix of the ports tmrw...

Battle Cat 10-07-08 12:09 AM

dkwasherexd 10-07-08 01:43 PM

im just keeping the exhaust ports stock... since its still my daily car.. i need to keep the gas mileage decent.. Planing on doing the rats next removal and plugging off the vacuum nipples, and just run vacuum to the fuel rail.also blocking off all emissions. This will make my engine setup clean and simple with less chance of any 'vacuum leaks'. Maybe make my own block off plates from a stop sign or something. unless the NAs block off plates are the same as the t2 ones, i wont need to..Probably block off the OMP as well, and continue my premix with idemitsu rotary oil..Everything hopeshould be simple... Have a FMIC and ssq BOV laying around in my garage as well... Will be doing this with stock turbo, stock t2 ecu, and a fbcd lol lalalalala
I dont have high expectations in power. Im just happy with around at 230whp. Because when i twas stock t2 last year, i was able to wheel spin 255s on a 17x9 easily for drifting, and imagine if i ran that with stretch..it would be too easy.. soo the lil extra horsepower would be nice....:)and as long as its somewhat reliable for far trips, im happy.

fc pro am 10-07-08 02:00 PM

DK ftw....DIY in full effect.

Hypertek 10-07-08 04:38 PM

port ur tb while ur at it.

you dont have power steering and ac do you? well im sure u got ps, drifting might be harder with out it.

what about elec fan?

need RX7 10-07-08 05:48 PM

Comin along good :icon_tup: Nice port job. Good luck with the build.

Battle Cat 10-07-08 08:15 PM

yo dk, ill try to spot by your pad. this week.

yo hypertek, you port throttle bodies?

Hypertek 10-07-08 09:09 PM

i did mine, removed the first set of butterflies, and shaved/shapened up the entry chambers.. then jb welded the old butterfly gate holes.. All with a dremel tool. I didnt polish it though, just got it smooth with sandpaper..
I should probably pull it tho to see how the jb weld is holdin up.. i read people here doing that so i did mines.

of course tho, any more mods i do involving air, i better look into aditional engine management if i want this motor to live.. but i dont beat on the motor, i never redline it *no need to on the street*

dkwasherexd 10-08-08 12:40 AM

hm yeah i should do the TB mod.. Was thinking about porting the turbo manifold as well. I think logicaly, if u port the stock turbo manifold, u should get more exhaust flow,= more spool faster acceleration on the turbine..=more boost?? hasanybody tried it? it looks easy to do....but the portwould have to match the turbo wouldnt it....

dkwasherexd 10-08-08 12:42 AM

as it possible to keep the stock clutch fan and do aFMIC setup?? unless ican find a efan in ajunk yard or something,it would clean up the engine bay alot....probably relocate the battery to the back compartment as well..yes austin i have Powersteering, all thanks to jason.. did the steering rack swap and added the PS bracket w/pump and lines....i will need to figure out how to route the FMIC Intercoolerpiping around the powersteering...hm...

Battle Cat 10-08-08 12:50 AM

i haz efan for yoU!

dkwasherexd 10-08-08 01:02 AM

serious? damn.... im guna have asticker made that says" FOR HIMEH!" and rock it on my car muahahha

Hypertek 10-08-08 01:09 AM

stock clutch fan would be better for a fmic application..

i had a flexalite in my s13 during my KA days.. then went to a SR with FMIC, and the flexalite, would overheat in the summer traffic.. had to switch to a clutch fan.. eventually i went ford tuarus fan and no more problems

Battle Cat 10-08-08 01:21 AM

i haz ford tarus E-fan!! FTW
thats what im talking about..
you wants to buy that too along with ecu and harness?

haha DO IT DK!!!!

i wanna see it!

dkwasherexd 10-08-08 10:42 PM

yo ican head down tmrw morn ing around 10-11 maybe?

Battle Cat 10-09-08 12:14 AM

alright sho, hope its works for ya!

dkwasherexd 10-09-08 01:36 AM

himeh saved my life ! haha im not down to put that in my sig?

dkwasherexd 10-15-08 10:38 PM

alrite..Since im picking up rotors this saturday, my engine build should be done by sunday. So for now im prepping the engine bay... I started unpluging all the shitz and removing the headers[the exhaust piping is stripped stuck on the header] so i have to remove the manifolds as well to get to it... yeah pulling the NA tmrw...
gota clan my garage for more space first.. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/P1020231.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...k/P1020236.jpg

say bye bye to NA... guna start hacking away holes for the IC piping tmrw.. and relocate the battery..

dkwasherexd 10-15-08 10:40 PM

anybody know if the Kragen MIG welders are any good?? They sell for like $150..iono myfriends say they might be crap.. anyone tried them before? would it be good enough to weld the IC piping?

Oh yeah thats my 3 sectional staff from back when I was into martial arts lol.. Now its a hood stand !!!! yeeee gangsta

Elite_Insane 10-15-08 11:35 PM

Just take it somewhere and have it welded. If its small enough some places wont even charge you. Unless you want to get good at welding to make more stuff, a welder really isnt worth buying.

Those welders are most certainly not good enough for IC piping.

finishline 10-16-08 02:00 AM

DK, hit me up before you drive down to SD.

i got your seatbelt harness thingy from jason.

dkwasherexd 10-16-08 05:35 PM

yo kent pm me ur numba !! Motor is out... trying to find something to cut the engine bay to fit IC piping through....

Hypertek 10-16-08 05:56 PM

get a angle grinder from harbor frieght
http://www.germes-online.com/direct/...le_Grinder.jpg

dkwasherexd 10-16-08 05:58 PM

how much do one of those things run? lol damn maybe ican find someone to borrow one..

Hypertek 10-16-08 06:01 PM

http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...emnumber=91223

and get a metal cut off wheel for it.. they come in handy when you need to cut metal too
Easy to cut straight lines... If your wanting to cut circles.. then i dont know what to use.. Just cut squares

Alex Rodriguez 10-16-08 07:27 PM

go to home depot and look in the door section , look for circular door knob bits

they are made for wood but will last you long enough to do both sides
http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/...500_AA280_.jpg

Battle Cat 10-16-08 09:23 PM

i haz tools for you meng@!

Boosted11 10-16-08 11:55 PM

Whats up with all the graffiti in the engine bay man? Never seen that before. :dunno:

dkwasherexd 10-17-08 01:18 AM

cool thx guys.

it isnt grafiti, well maybe some is. But after i sprayed my engine bay All my friends just tagged and signed in there before dropping in my 3rd engine. lol its something different haha. I guess where ever I go, I have a piece of my friends to always remember, kinda like a year book where u have everyone sign.

dkwasherexd 10-17-08 01:19 AM

Hey El nene, does this tip go with a regular powerdrill? Im guna try to look for this..Il work on the FMIC tmrw.. see what ican do to mount it and cut the holes for the IC piping

Alex Rodriguez 10-17-08 10:07 AM

yeah it will work with a regular drill, aas far as piping go how big are you running for the fronts because it pretty hard to find 3" circular cutters i think the ones they sell at home depot are between 1"-2.5"

either way just cut them out and then it will be easier for you to make the holes bigger with a file or a dremel

goodluck

also for your piping call pm teddyrx2 at 1231 motorsports they do sick ass welding and fabrication

dkwasherexd 10-17-08 11:32 PM

cool got it cutout today.. I just found out the couplings I have are too small for the Intercooler2.25", but the right size for the piping 2" its hard to stretch the coupling to fit, but ill find some conversion coupling from samco...

87 t-66 10-18-08 02:03 PM

2 inch intercooler piping? i would at least go 2.5
