They've locked it down one more level at work, so no reading forums - even at lunch. Anyway - just catching up with the thread.
Yea, it's definitely a love or hate color. And I just don't feel any luv.
And, I probably should have kicked a few asses along the way too, but it is what it is.
I work for the company that has that bunny that keeps going and going, so I've ran a request up the sales and marketing flagpole that they should sponsor me as a drift car.
Even though I've been with them for many years, I doubt I can convince them out of any buckaroos. But, I'm ginving them thru the New Year to make up their mind.
Keep your eyes on the for sale section, it'll be out there for a fair price, if they don't come thru.
Later. I'm still a noobe on this forum, so PM isn't working for me yet. I'll thread crap some tonight and respond to the PMs.

Yea, that Aerosmith you tube pretty much shows the way I feel.
I went to Victoria Secrets tonight for the Christmas gift card, and guess what I saw??? A helluva lotta pink. Even a bright pink Eclipse (carbon fiber hood and all) that the store manager owned. She told me that she tried to talk my daughter out of the RX before she fixed up her ride. And, she told me that there is also a hot pink Civic lurking around town. If I wasn't happily married, I could have some fun with this car.......
Drifting ...........hmmmmm.........How close to Delaware??.........

I would go with the 3 rotor idea, and just spank every one on and off the street. Im Painting my Wifes Evo pink, got 580hp right now. and about to be stroked. looking for 700. Thats just what i would do.
Can always Gutt it and throw a roll cage in, and do the AutoX/Track

Archie's8, I wasn't gonna go there, but since you opened the door, here's my current daily driver - the only thing that keeps it in the garage is freezing rain or snow. Some of my friends go the same (or with both) but not with me. The pink doesn't scare my wife, but she drives an '05 Merlot T-Bird, and she likes the automatic better than the 5 speed.
Anyway, back to my dilemma - for the folks that asked above, the body of the pink elephant has 219,000 on it, but the original owner had the local Mazda dealership replace the short block at around 165k. When I got it from him, I originally found this forum in 2003, so I read up on the rotaries and put all the recommended stuff - new hoses, belts, plugs, lubes, etc. - To make her a dependable semi-daily driver. And, it was the beautiful dark metallic blue, with hardly a scratch on her (and yea, I would driving the hell out of it today, if it was still that color).
The seats are worn, so she put covers on them. And, she put a $500 (Best Buy installed price) JVC stereo and speakers in it. Everything else is bone stock, and the car has been garage kept almost all of it's life. And it's fully loaded - power everything, alarm system, dual suspension, moon roof, etc. I have the original window sticker somewhere, and I'm pretty sure it was pushing $32 grand in late 1989, when my friend bought it new.
I borrowed my neighbor's floor jack (He's in his late 70's and drives an '07 red Z06 (my hero- he told me last week he push it close to 1 g, but that's another story- don't want to hijack my own thread)), and I'm getting ready to get my hands greasy checking it out tonight.
I've got to rebuild the shifter, fix the emergency light switch (the dashlight light stays on when running), take off the sucky rear window wiper, and I'm gonna ground the hell out of it (replace all of the grounding straps). Thanks again to all of you guys that post how to do crap to these cars - I've contributed my share to other forums, and if I keep this one, I'll add where I can to keep the breed going.

Nope pingpong - fully loaded, but bone stock, except for the paint.
Only one thing not working - tomorrow I'm fixing the headlight "cleaner" switch, because both lights popped up and won't go down, unless I remove the retractor relay. I checked everything else out today, and it looks like the switch on the dash is bad.
These are super easy cars to work on, but I've decided the pink panther is going to be sold after the 1st of the year. I almost got nailed by the local mounties this afternoon. I'll start a new thread with more pics in the for sale section.
I'd like to turn it into a V8 sleeper, but Delaware is a pain in the *** with those kind of vehicles for the street.
My 70+ year old neighbor with the '07 Z06 says he can find me a 2000 Z06 for around $20K - sooo I'll probably turn traitor and start reading the vette forums. That is, after I sell pinky.

The weather's warming up in DE this weekend, so I'm gonna give it the light buff and spit shine tomorrow.
I blew it out a couple days earlier this week, and it's pretty funny to see the look on teenagers faces when they pull up beside the car, and see a black T shirt/full head shaved/full beard/with Orange County Chopper sunglasses behind the wheel.
I'm sure they say probably crap to each other after they pass by, but their dropped jaw look when I give them the Harley nod thru the metallic shades is classic.
When my daughter and I traded car titles, the lady at DMV wanted 1st shot at the car for her daughter.
If I can leave the motorcycle alone and reinstall the headlight switch (it had a failed diode - headlights would not go down), I'll be giving them a call.
And - If they back out, I'll have her out listed in the classifieds.......stay tuned.
