And there's only a little bit of surface rust on the sun roof that i can fix in like 5 minutes. The frame is solid (no rust) and i got cross drilled/slotted rotors on it. The tower bar came from 87GTR (Tony). Works like a charm. It's got a high flow cat on it (only reason i know is beacuase i had to replace the oil cooler lines and saw the weld haha). The molding is comin off so i need to get that fixed. Other than that, the stereo doesnt work (the lady who i bought it off of hooked up a new battery backwards and blew out a bunch of stuff, still tryin to figure out most of it. That's about it for now.

You should rallycross that thing.
How old are you, and is this your first car?
I made a mistake when I got my first car. I spent a bunch of money making it nice. I also wanted to get into different competetive driving. After you spend money and make it nice you don't want to risk it with any competetive driving because you're young and don't have a lot of cash.
If you want to get into autocross, rallycross, drifting or other competetive driving. Do it with that base model. You'll save money and learn things faster.
If you want to have a nice RX-7 later on, buy one that has nice paint already etc. and do the smaller stuff yourself. You'll save lots of money and still be able to do what you want to do.
I've F'ed myself the whole time I've had RX-7's. I've always wanted one I can beat on and not care about, and haven't been able to have that.
I should have done it with my first 87' base, and then gotten my nice cars later. Now I have my GTUs and 91 Turbo and I'm almost scared to risk doing anything in them because they are harder to find models.
Good luck with whatever you do!
