my 10th Anniversary collection

my 10AE is a jewl in my collection. its the RX-7 that has eluded me for years and in 2006, its a car that i drug out of a field with a blown engine and a dismantled and painted interior. its a car that i restored and am very proud of. i restore one RX-7 per year and this one is special to me. here is teh thread behind its restoration: https://www.rx7club.com/build-threads-294/my-10th-anniversary-project-not-56k-friendly-720132/ i do need to put up new pics as those were taken in the winter of 07. at any rate, since the car is so special i wanted to make it complete. i wanted to have everything that came with the car new. the only two piece that i am missing and may never aquire are the original window sticker and the 10AE bra. if i'm missing anything else and someone takes notice, please let me know.

first off here's an older (2006) pic of the 10AE after it was cleaned up a bit and before the new engine:

here's a pic of all the paperwork i have that was original to the car:

and the original key:

now for some of the accessories.

original unopened 10AE pillow:

10AE brochure:

original unused 10AE floor mats with the original bag. i opened them. they were sealed when i bought them. i plan on using them when i take the car to car shows:

if there's anything that i may be missing, please feel free to chime in. i want to make this car as complete as it can be.

here's a quick pic of it when it was sitting in a field of mud water and junk, rotting into the ground:

the car is a very reliable driver. everything except for the wipers (exc. for position 2) and a/c works. the compressor has a bad bearing. also need to buy a new fcd. thats on my to do list.

I noticed some overspray too, not that it matters much.

Beautiful car, and good on ya for bringing it back to glory.

I remember the first time I saw mine sitting and rotting away. 6 months later it was sitting in my driveway. Great job bringing a wonderful car back from the dead.

yeah, the paint is crap and the tail light seals and body seals, and the black strip under the front bumper are all white. not too much i can do about that other than remove and attempt to remove the paint..or order new seals from the dealer. my main priority was to make sure the car was reliable and a good driver. future plans include a RB exhaust. the stock exhaust that's on there is junk and rotten. i would love to take it back to a complete oem exhaust but good luck to me finding an oem TII exhaust thats not rotten. so i think my best alternative is the RB system.

i recently ordered a new original shift boot from the dealer. that will go on soon and i'll toss up some pics of that. the car got new kuhmo ecsta spt tires last spring. that was a solid investment.

well, i don't know how many they made and i don't know how hard they'll be to find or how much you can expect to pay. i aquired mine from a guy on rx8club and paid more than one should ever have to pay for anything stuffed. i just saw it in the backround of one of his pics and pm'd him, inquiring to buy the thing. the floor mats were another expensive investment but i guess this stuff will be well worth it due to the unobtanium nature of some of the parts.

i wish i could afford the stuff you have. an extra set of 10AE wheels would be nice..especially if the paint is nice.

Wasn't the bra an accessory option? If so, your car is 'complete' without it. JMHO.

i think it was an optional accessory...i just want everything possible for the car i guess. not having a window sticker kinda sucks but i have pics of 10AE window stickers that i could edit the vin on and use for car shows. most people wouldnt know the difference anyways. thank you for the pm. i appreciate the advice. i didnt even think about that.

i was just looking through some picsture of 10AE's that i have on my computer and i ran accross this:

looks like i'm also missing this car cover as well. it was an accessory but came with the pillow and bra as an optional package. i'd like to find one but i'm not going to stress out about not being able to find one. the car cover might be tough to find but there may be one out there somewhere...

some people were asking to see more pics of the car so i took a few pics. unfortunatly the car is confined to the garage and due to the rain we're having today, i won't pull the car out of the garage so no good exterior pics unfortunatly. i'm just picky and don't drive the 10AE in the rain. at any rate, here are a few pics. dont't mind the dirty interior. apparently i didnt vacuum the interior before i put the car away last november:
