it looks good enough the way it is, but im also interested to see what it would look like with clear on the bottom....i jus dont know how you would do that w/o leaving the black line in the middle.

hmm, do they sell that lexan in more than one color?

did you just heat up the lexan to fit the curve of the housing?

They come in All Colors Of The Rainbow.. As far as heating it goes the curve is so slight you really don't need to.. I used a hair dryer to help cure the epoxy but as far as bending it it was barely needed.

Well that would be easy.. Buy clear lexan, mask off the top section and then Spray VHT transparent Tint on the inside... BANG.. done..

shouldnt be hard.. buy clear lexan /plexiglass at local hardware store.

use vinyl red tail light tape from auto store to "try "..
or get some red transparent paint and spray halff of the lense.

If you could add some sort of textures to teh lense, it would look nice..

If you can somehow add that "Dimple " reflective texture to the bulb housing.. would be awesome..

maybe run some chrome vinyl strips along the inside of the lense to class it up a lil..

Very nice, only thing is I don't like how you can see the housings for each bulb. A diffuser and maybe some other stuff would make it look a lot better.

How about if you were to the reflective backings (the silver part behind the bulbs for all you people who can't understand) with some type of black that will still reflect the light. That way it's not so shiny and silver and it won't give that "transparent red lexan" feel/look to it.

And for everyone asking about the reverse coloring, it's perfectly okay to have other-than-white/clear reverse lights. I think someone cleared that up earlier in this thread or in a similar thread.

Looks pretty damn good RRTEC. I had my doubts at first due to my poor comprehension abilities, (I learn by pictures) but you seem to be pulling it off quite nicely. Let's see some progress!!

So you want me to try a diffuser in there... I can do that... I would think that reflective material would look good... But I like them as they are personally.. I will try some more things just for fun.. Stay tuned.

That looks great. I'll have to see what the Mrs. has to say and maybe do that to my old S4 tails for her FC.

You know what would be cool is if you wired up some leds on the sides and then had the lexan laser etched with a rotor design You could leave the leds lit and mask them off so the the light is just on the side of the lexan then the design would glow where it was etched. That would be bad ***. I have done it on some computer windows.

Invest in a Dremel if you haven't already. It will help you grind the plastic to perfection. Practice it first though... it will melt plastic in a heartbeat if you apply too much pressure or stay in one spot too long. Also useful for porting TBs and polishing metal
