Lookie what I just got!! 16" 3 peice wheels... I know some of you will be pissed about me tarnishing a 10th AE, but for goodness sake, I think they look period appropriate and accent the car. I am going to paint/polish them and put some new rubber on them. ALSO I know I need to lower it.. the suspension is coming so chill..

I thought we were talking apex seals haha. I love your wheel choice OP. I like meshies and its nice to see something different amongst all the 18 inch gaudy wheels people are putting on these days.

I was kinda going for the age appropriate look.. The car is an 88' 16" wheels were like the largest wheel available then..ha!
Seriously though they are a little bit gold right now, I am strongly leaning towards a high gloss silver center with mirror polished lips.. Then re-do the centercaps with either a mazda emblem or an infini symbol...
I don't know if I can commit to gold, it looks good, but im just not sure..
I am not a big fan of the "chrome" look so a full polish is out..

I love the wheels. Also like the idea of keeping it period-correct. (Attempting to "modernize" a 25-year old design always strikes me as kind of a losing battle.) I think the fact that the tires are smaller overall diameter than stock is what is giving you the exaggerated fender gap look. I like the idea of silver centers/polished lip. I think gold centers might look a little too gaudy on the white 10AE, but everyone's taste is different.
