I would like to know what speeds those test are supposed to replicate.

Also, comparing FC stock seats to a CX7s stock seats is a little optimistic. You've got 20 years of fatigue and engineering against you.

Also, while everyone is so quick to discount the Bride, did it "fail?" Part of a seats job is to absorb impact, to which you might say the Bride did by letting the dummy recline so far. the effects of whiplash would be reduced if your body remained as stationary as your head in a rear collision. What did the Bride's mechanism look like after the "crash?" There are a whole lot of questions here that are unanswered, and I don't think any of us are in the business of engineering safety products.

Think of the crumple zones on a car. Someone in the 50s might have been like," Look at that car and how unsafe it is! It was destroyed in a crash! I want my car to be unharmed! That's safer!" We now know the energy has to be dissipated, and the assumption of a solid car being safe for occupants to be untrue.

I just picked up some real mazdaspeed seats this weekend, black leather and micro suede, red mazdaspeed stitching. Airbags which I obviously cant use, and heated seats option with both ends of the harness- but I probably wont use the heated seats either.

Cant wait to get them in the car! They look like they were never sat in.

Damn, I'm very surprised at how shitty those reclining seats are!!! Although I bet full buckets from Bride and Recaro are a different story. Please post some videos so I can confirm my assumption. If those fail, I'll be so surprised considering most WRC cars use Recaro...

The new R3's use Recaros as well, I read an article saying that they're the best seats Recaro have made to date.
