I wouldn't trust them. **** the MS label...Your seats are the thing that holds you in if you wreck your car. If they break, so do you.
A little extra for a set of FD seats, Corbeaus or Sparcos is money well spent, IMO.

heh, that's cool you're stoked on your seats. I'm just sayin'...I'd hate to get rear-ended in those seats. I know that a set of Corbeau CR-1s will take the punishment, because Corbeau has invested money in crash testing them.

Those are generic knock-offs that you can get with Mazdaspeed, ralliart, Mugen, Sti...ANYthing stamped on them. The used to sell them on ebay for 300 bucks a pair. I almost bought a set for my Protege5, but I did a little research first and didn't like what I found.

Sweet steering wheel! ^^ The old saying holds very true, with seats that is. "You get what you pay for." I wish I would have spent some extra $$ on mine.

I was just asking about them. Hes asking 650 for a pair which does not seem worth it to me at this time. Id rather just save up for nicer seats when i actually need them.

They're $179 apiece at modacar, you just have to make your own stamp.

Robx7 guy: Like I said, that's cool that you're stoked on your seats. enjoy.

I just wanted to read up if these seats are putting my life in danger, so please share the research you have done?

For the price if they last me a few years thats great, I have other things to spend money on.

I think you either get lucky or you dont. My first pair of ebay seats a while back the driver side seat broke shifting into second one day (after many pulls at the track) I took it apart and the back rest part of the seat was held by plastic brackets with rivets on them.

My second set, where non reclinable they worked great for years the only issue I had was the spring supports in them come off and then theres no cushion just saggy seat backs.

My last sets where Recaros and Sparco seats on the evo and rx7.Money well spent. These ebay seats are great solution to worn out ripped oem rx7 seats but dont last long in normal use-----well track use for me.

Overall get the seats bro
1- they will look better than your beat up old seats
2- you will drive better too because they will be more comfy and higher in some cases
3- price to oem condition will always win- if they break buy another set
