Talking Looking for a place to mount that last gauge?

I recently had my steering wheel off for restoration and while I was re-installing it I decided to get creative...

Edit: sorry, when linked directly the attached pic was unreasonably large.

You know what, THAT is creative. Must be a VERY short gauge body. One could always relocate the wiring for the horn to a separate push button.

Clever.

What I wanna know is why a narrow band when you've got an Innovate on your idiot cluster adapter?? I'm assuming it's just there as reference?

Haha, that was just the only spare gauge I had laying around, I didn't permanently mount it, nor have I used the NB since the WB was installed. I was just using it to illustrate my point

Well I cut a recess in the steering column cover to match the contour of the gauge pod so it sits low enough not to block anything, even the lower revs....which I agree aren't all that important.

Funny you mention the sandals... They are the most comfortable rubber sandals out there (circa 2003...) I went to 7 diff stores to find another pair.

As far as the wiring issues...

I just ran the wires through the hole in my hub that was there for the horn button wire. Since it doesn't get worn through or shorted I see no reason why gauge wires would either. If your gauge requires a larger hole it would be relatively simple to drill it out, or add another. Everything will be hidden by the column cover/ hub cover anyway.

No. No gyros here. This location is more for gauges that you don't have to monitor constantly or at least not while turning....Fuel pressure? EGT? Temp? Fuel Level? etc

I have to applaud that idea. I've never even thought of that before.
