look what i did...

quick warm up part in my cnc class.
took me a couple minutes to design in solidworks, couple minutes to creat the toolpath in mastercam, and a couple more to verify everything and make on the Intelitek ProLight 1000



its a rotor!!! made on a 2x3x1.5 wax stock
hopefully ill have a pair of these in my miata in the next couple years

Haha that's really cool. I had a friend that worked in a CNC shop when I was in college, never made any rotors, but he designed a few spark plug covers.

yea, that was just a warm up part. i dont think ill make an actual rotor but i do like to make brackets, gaskets, spacers, etc. and what not.
havnt thought about spark plug covers

Cool deal, my buddy just started doing laser CNC stuff, I hope to get some favors done once he's all set. Good technology to have access to. Good luck with your schooling.
