lol ebay

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/RARE-...3A1|240%3A1318

super rare to see someone drill the rivets, paint black, and slap an Apexi sticker on a stock top mount.

Thumbs down

that guy is a member on here, he tried selling it in the 2nd gen classifieds, then he was called out and proven that its a stock intercooler, with the shields removed, painted black with an apexi sticker....so he put it on ebay to try to ripoff someone else.

he should be banned for trying to knowingly pull a scam.

scum like that ruin the import tuning scene trying to pass off these parts as something else. =(

Apexi is alot newer name for apex's international branches I believe. When they made Apexi, they probably wherent too big on producing parts for the old fc3s so you wouldnt expect to see Apexi on a fc intercooler imo.

He's knowingly selling a stock intercooler as a, and I quote:
RARE Apexi TMIC intercooler

AFTER saying, and I quote:
Ouch. Reality is hard to accept, but the evidence is undeniable. I got pwned. =( . Should have done my research instead of just trusting that this was real.

That doesn't seem a tiny bit shady to you?

Sounds like he knew he'd been had, but now he's trying to break even. If breaking even for him means scamming someone else, then I guess he can live with that.

compare the pictures....they both have different pictures of the same exact intercooler.

look at the bent fins, look at the bugs stuck in the fins, look at the missing paint where the coupler would mount.

same part, the ebay had has better pictures of the same intercoolr that was trying to be sold on here. both sellers are from california.

Wow, definately ban the guy.

If anyone would like more closeup pic's I can gladly take more for further proof

His thread was closed for some reason, most likely due to a mod seeing what was posted.
His new thread does not contain the intercooler though which explains why it's on ebay.

I'm saying he could always say he sold it and someone else put it on ebay. Just saying....But I of course know the guy is scum for pulling that crap.

Unfortunatly that is true...

I wonder if ebay can disclose information about the seller if they are alerted that the seller is trying to scam people with fake parts though....

I've already PM'd a mod about the seller and provided all of the necessary links to the various threads.

most likely, he wasn't smart enough to think of that himself, but thanks to you...he can simply lie, and nothing will happen.

wow you guys are going CSI on this lol..

just wait til the new ebay purchaser gets it, hopefully they already have a stock IC and then will realize its the same... thus the cycle will repeat and it will be back up on ebay or here to be sold again as an apexi part lmao

haha, it makes for a good laugh....i highly doubt anything will happen.

your probably right, he will sell it, then someone else will relist it, and the cycle of trying to regain what the buyer lost will continue until someone stupid enough buys it and brags to all his friends about his "apexi intercooler yO"
